I should have rephrased my statement that it is based on my friends' experience and seeing stores putting up the rate of 1000yen/hour for part-timers. Do you know if there's any published data for the rates?

San Francisco California has a city ordinance that sets a minimun wage @ $10.25 hour ~ highest in the USA.

I may be over-reacting, but I feel very offended by your repeated comments. I am not here to pick up a fight, after all I am just drawing comics for humor and entertainment.

You are indeed overreacting if you've taken offense at someone engaging you in conversation over topics you brought up yourself.

Your observations are interesting; I just thought you might wish them to be accurate rather than based on your assumptions. Or that you wish to have an explanation of some of the things that have struck you as "different" enough to warrant a comic on the topic. Or a practical solution to something you don't like. For example, instead of assuming that all banks charge you to get your money out, or at least on weekends and after 6 pm, you could have gotten some facts about it instead.

If you don't wish public feedback and commentary on your comics, then perhaps you should be posting them on a blog where you can disable commenting.

Thanks ewww-san for your support! I was thinking of stopping after receiving some "weird" response, but you and other friendly forum citizens made me feel better

Well luckily the bed bug infestation didn't ruin my impression on USA. I was very impressed at your country's art education and freedom. Teachers were great and curriculum were well thought of. I'd never enjoyed history lessons that much until I had my first liberal arts classes there. The way that history teachers teach and deliver was much more interesting than in Asia. I love SF :haihai:

He-he, that last one makes me to remember all my office visits. I did not have such experience in Japan, except customs, but I did alot in states and in Russia. I'd say "Officer is a king" - that is right for states if You are going to medical, federal and municipal offices. However, You could be greeted like in Japan in most commercial offices, especially if they are trying to sell You something. And ... You should paint another one picture about russia, where an officer is a GOD, and customer is a nothing, beurocracy here is 10000000 times stronger that in all other world.

kraystone, he-he, I think that last one is true not only for japan. You will be politely pushed out from any department store in states after work day is over, and what is interesting, the probability to be pushed out is higher in more expensive store. I could remember as my friends from russia asked me to bring them to some really posh store, and I found that one in Virginia. We were surprised that store was closing in couple hours earlier than other stores in mall, and unfortanutely we did come in about hour before store closing. ha-ha ... all salesmen were busy with removing and hiding merchandises, and preparing store for closing. They were very unhappy with us walking around, and we were asked to leave some department couple times.

Uncle, I am so sorry, but I am adherer of conspiracy theory, ant that theory states that Facebook was created by evil alien race to eliminate earthlings. They are spying for us, wasing our brains. At the some day X, when all population of the Planet Earth will be registered in FB, they will send special signal from dark satellite, which will trigger virus on all computers connected to FB, and that virus will destroy human brains ... only people, who does not have account on FB will stay alive. That is just another scientific theory, and I do not trust science, but it sounds very truthworthy for me.

BTW, I do not have account on google by the same reason.

Hey, kraystone! I am so glad to find another good comics from You.
I printed Your previous one about eclipse and put it on the wall in my cubicle, cuz it cool (sorry if I violated Your author's rights) At the same time it is scientific, industrial and has light military accent, all these are very subtle things for me
Did You watch eclipse? How it was? BTW, You are keeping photocamera, did You make any cool pictures? And ... what kind of dog do You have? Looks like that is very good friend of Yours.

Your last comics is hillarious. I do not know what to say here. Of course, it is cool to meet very friendly salesperson in the store, but I am always trying to avoid talkative ones, especially if I exactly know what do I want, or if I am limited in time, so "Silence is golden...", and that is true.

I think that I should start drawing comics too ... ewww ...
