Why Japan does not need to apologize to Korea

The story is great, particularly, because obviously made by a concerned and honest Korean. I do like that Kwangju mother, by the way, and korean mothers can be very strict (and loud, hehe), also to their husbands.
I also like the right and very fine description of dishonesty, which applies to much more than just Koreans. . .;-):

Such behavior generally has its roots in the arrogance and egotism of those who feel that what they do is always right and anything that gets in the way is wrong. It also springs from a perception that the best strategy is to reject anything that does not fit in with your beliefs -- for example by thinking that you don't have to abide by laws you have decided are "evil".

Obviously a very reliable and grown up writer.(I suppose, he had a fine mother. . .)

But as for the war cases, it has been examined by many different forces in the world, not just Koreans, plus lots of facts. Enough to get a clear picture, that is very well accepted all over. And also hereabout, and we are as much Korean friends for long, as Japanese friends, thus you can expect a fair handling of the case. Since we also have two Universities, one from the former west and one from the former east, you may imagine, that the outcome, if combined and confirmed by both sides (who had different relations to different parts of this), is even more clear.
And we are particularly sensitive towards wars and according crimes, and lies about it.

As for his positive picture about Japanese, obviously the real picture has changed a bit in relation to several cases. . .he may have to take off his pink glasses. They may be less direct than the Koreans, but as for lies, there are many ways to lie, distributing wrong informations or holding back right ones already are one. . .usually it shows in the long run anyhow. Particularly in public matters.

As for my experiences about Koreans, those, that I know(and I know many, here and in Korea), are far from cheating, in contrary, they may best be described of being from the writer's corner. I had more Japanese trying to cheat here, than Koreans, in relation. But I thought, its the western influences, that made them become so, by imitating or adapting their, uumm, our "game" (who is the first one to say. . .). This is also wellknown.
The Koreans on one hand, are not necessarily as much into "hiding", as the Japanese are, who are hiding a lot under the politeness carpet. . .while the Koreans can be very direct. Thus more comes out into the open and ends up in court, not to forget.

Here in the German Japanese society, we all know the war-crimes to be real, and are nevertheless friends of the Japanese, if you get my point. We would be VERY ashamed for the Japanese, if they try to oppose all this. They are loosing a lot of credibility this way and would force foreign people to stay away from that society even.
Do think yourself over, dear Japanese. We do not wish to be ashamed for being your friends, if that tells you something.
Do come and visit our Holocaust museum in Berlin, for example, or other places of our dark past, to see, how it can be handled with honesty, and that it does not hurt anyone of the new generations, but stays as a warning, not to repeat it.

Yeah, why German forgot WW1's Lesson?
There is nothing learnt from cruelty. look at real world?
human history is history of WAR.
It doesn't become a resolution of a war.
Why does the war happen?
You should search why the slaughter happened at abttle field.

German gave up to discuss it
it has made it all to hide under the responsibility of Nazi.

What a nonsense, exactly the opposite is true, we never gave up to discuss this, for example, nor forgot, in contrary.. . .
You obviously don't read, what you don't want to read, although it is all there. . .

Look at yourself.

I doubt it.
at least, nobody can discuss the number of Jew's victims in German

Why Japan does not need to apologize to Korea?

To answer that, Japan should apologize and compensate for their past war crime whether they like it or not.

During WWII, millions of people were killed(victims Koreans, Chineses, Indonesians, Malaysians, Filipinos, Singaporeans,.....) from atrocities.

No need to apologize for atrocities (homicide)?
That's a nonesense!

Korea should apologize and compensate to Japan for their past fabrication about history whether they admit it or not.

1. Japan helped modernize Korea with implanting education system, decipline, and capital expenditure on infrustructure for the past century, except the time of Korean war. After Korean war, Japan also granted lots of financial helps. So Korea should repay to Japan for those contribution.

2. Japan allowed Korean volunteer soldiers to join Imperial Army during the war, but because of their extreme brutality, Japan was blamed after the war.
Koreans should admit their atrocities, brutality and war crimes, and Korea should apologize to Japan and the rest of world.

3. Korea should stop occupation of Takeshima island and return to Japan.

4. Korea should stop sending sex slave (prostitute/comfort woman) to Japan as well as rest of the world, and they should re-educate their own people about MORAL.

Can you do ? 😊

Fabrication of history?
That's the most amusing statement ever heard in ages.

Also, I didn't clearly understood what you wrote. Re-read your sentences. Your sentences doesn't make any sense at all :giggle: :D

Japan helped Korea for modernization?
Guess, what all Asians would laugh at your comment.
Your slur is no doubt absurd.

In this world, only Korean don't know "History".

"Japan Described in the Korean History Education: Korea's Image on Japan and Japan's Image on Korea - Bulletin of the Graduate School of Education, the University of Tokyo - by Ko Kilhee (Korean scholar)
Vol.35(19951220) pp. 11-19
The University of Tokyo ISSN:13421050"

In Korea, they have been trying to establish their own history since 1945,giving much importance on the historical education in schools. However, although we acknowledge their efforts to establish their national identity, we can point out that Koreans are under a bias against Japan. In this paper, the writer has attempted to clarify such a bias fully, analyzing Korean school textbooks of history. In addition, she proposes the idea of reform in the history education in Korea in order to improve the relationship between Korea and Japan.....

Koreans should Face up true history, and apologize to Japan.

Honestly, didn't Japan start the war?

They lost in the end..

They should apologise, most definitiely and add a good note to their history.

I noticed when I was in Japan, people would often apologize as my wife would often complain..

I had an apologoy draw full of apology gifts including some toothpaste!

How about getting back to the topic? Astroboy, this thread is not about "Korea should apologize and compensate to Japan for their past fabrication about history whether they admit it or not." and you know that. Don't change the topic like this again! Thank you in advance.

It is so.
There was not Korea in those days.
The Japanese government did an investment in Japanese Korea district.
The Japanese government did not invest it for a Korean.
Because the Korean was a Japanese in those days.
And because an area of Southeast Asia was their power and gained independence,
They are different from Korea.

yeah, just like how germany claimed austria and claimed austrians were germans. yeah?

yeah, just like how Germany claimed Austria and claimed Austrians were germans. yeah?

Even worse, as for Mandshuria etc.

Koreans have other, also old documents, by the way. "Invest" is a strange word for these "friendly overtaking visits", ahem. The Japanese were not asked for in the first place. One does not become "Japanese" overnight. However you call them, they were Koreans first and would insist on this.

BTW, my granddad was in China beginning of the last century, observing Japanese moves plus reporting under Chinese protection and Russian company.(some parts are in my hands, and some Chinese keep on asking for them. I might consider a coop. with that filmer of the film today)

Has anyone seen "the last emperor"?

Japan does not need to apologize to korea

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

at first, incase of Korea
why does japan need to apologize to korea?
I dont understand at all.

please tell me why?
1) did japan invade Korea for annexation?
2) forced comfort woman? what hell is that?
3) japan force to change korean name to japanese one
Japan di not
4)japanese forced korean to speak japanese
japan did not
etc...
please give me your opinion.

I can explain.....
Koreans tend to be quite backwards in general. It was Ito Hirobumi that modernized Korea through annexation, as well as building schools and proper hospitals. Yes. Most of it was achieved through some form of aggression and coersion, like when Koreans were forced to learn Japanese and to refrain from speaking their own native language.

It was Japan that gave spicy kimchi to the Koreans, the most iconic dish on their menu. Authentic kimchi was just a brine with cabbage since spices could not be cultivated in Koreas climate back in the old days. Tokugawa exported togarashi to Korea, which he got from Anglo traders. Spices were not compatible with Japanese cuisine then, so there was no use stockpiling it, thus was literally sent to Korea in the boat loads. I think at the time Tokugawa was making matchlocks for the guns used in the Civil War in the US,

My point in saying all that was because in reality, Japan has done more for Korea than it officially recognizes. The Koreans will never show gratitude to the Crown of Japan. Unlike its US neighbors who continue to use systems imposed by the Crown of England....e.g. Tipping system, the English language, government, so forth and so on.

Then you Japanese do owe Koreans an official apology for the killing of a sovereign. You see,I answered your own thread topic question for you.

You mean Japan didn't permit Russian military influence in the peninsula, led to her tragic death by the hands of Japanese CRUELTY and SAVAGERY.

Korea absolutely didn't request Japan military meddling, rather Empress Min was trying to use Russian military muscles to counter-balance Japan's influence in the peninsula.
You worship Anglo, so that ends your conversation. You have nothing to say against Japan.
