I lived in California for 15 years and it was pretty much Paradise back then but now every major city has become a ********. And yes the governor has destroyed the state of California. And it's just getting worse day by day.

I guess I revisit California by YouTube when I see on YouTube is unreal really I mean it really unreal.
I can see poverty from the ground level here in Thailand but I can say one thing you don't see the homeless like you see in like Los Angeles or San Francisco or who knows where in California.
In Japan I know there's homeless colonies especially in Osaka and there's also a place in Kumamoto. For the homeless congregate all year long. But there seems to be pride for being maybe a homeless person or a hobo person in Japan I don't think it's really looked down upon that much but that's only my opinion. And as you know there's very little welfare support for a homeless person without an address as a matter of fact there is no support without an address here in Japan. I understand in California they give the homeless people debit card I'm afraid to see how much but I believe it's over a thousand dollars a month. That's more than my social security money per month what a joke so you probably wonder why I'm kind of little pissed off but the reason why I see people coming into America illegally being able to be treated pretty good I guess I don't know I don't live there like you say but anyway I don't give a client **** I only take care of myself and that's it what the hell.

Social media doesn't represent reality. If you had stuck cameras into homeless encampments when you lived in California you'd probably have seen many of the same things you're seeing online now. Also as far as I am aware, giving homeless people money was just a small experiment. There's no budget to give homeless people a stipend. Plus it would be political suicide. Even in California.
Before you get all irate and pissed off at things, try to examine your sources and get to the facts first. Here's the study that I'm talking about. Getting $750 a month didn't end homelessness – but our study shows it still improved the lives of homeless people

From insane gas prices to Newsoms utter failure to address homelessness, it's gonna keep getting worse until he's out of office. Even then, it's gonna take years to restore California to the beautiful state it should have stayed. Homelessness is a significant problem here in Bakersfield, especially in Oildale, the eastern part of Bakersfield, and the metro area. The homeless population of the Bakersfield Metro is nearly split in half, 52% unsheltered and 48% sheltered.

Sounds like a good time to bring back Celebrity Death Match. Except Trump would be in all the matches and it wouldn't be a mystery who would lose.

I subscribe to Private Eye, a UK magazine that provides a mixture of satire and investigative journalism, and the printed version arrived yesterday. In every edition, it has dispatches from a few places around the world by anonymous, well-placed insiders.
This edition featured a dispatch from Tokyo about the current leadership style of Sanae Takaichi (increasingly queenlike and somewhat eccentric), as well as some of the behind-the-scenes manoeuvring behind the recent visit to the US. Part of it reads:
Not every official in her vicinity is cowering, however. According to Sentaku magazine, it was Takaya Imai – an aide to the PM ... – who at the last minute thwarted her plans to send Japanese warships to the Strait of Hormuz. She was reportedly intent on making the announcement at a meeting last month with US President Donald Trump – a move that would have thrown Japan into a constitutional crisis. Takaichi backed off but is said to have been furious.
If the article is true, then the posters who (quite reasonably) suggested that Takaichi's behaviour at the meeting was a giant exercise in gomasuri are wide of the mark. She appears to genuinely think Japan should get involved in the war in the Middle East.

Delusions of grandeur (triggered by a two-thirds majority in Takaichi's case). I cannot see any open war-mongering by her (yet), but she intends to amend the constitution within a year. I doubt that the Japanese electorate would support deploying the JSDF in war zones.

NHK ignored anti-nuclear protests of 100,000 in Yoyogi Park, essentially on its doorstep, after the 2011 nuclear disaster, so it's hardly unexpected.Delusions of grandeur (triggered by a two-thirds majority in Takaichi's case). Honestly, I find this quite perplexing! How is it even possible NOT to report on 36,000 people protesting the government?
I think these protests were organised in a decentralised fashion via social media. It's probably worth starting a new thread to gather sources.

To answer your question of "Why does the far right like war so much" The answer is fairly simple. The Ancient Romans believed that the best defense was a good offense. Whenever they felt as if they were being threatened, they attacked. Why does that matter? Ancient Rome was a significant, although idealized, source of inspiration for modern conservatism. For one, America is very threatened by Iran. Iran is notoriously known in America as a "State Sponsor of Terrorism" for good reason. The right wing also believes in peace through strength. I'm sure that any American military base in any other country is not only there to protect America and its allies, but to intimidate and discourage people from attacking the US. The right wing has a pro-defense culture as well, leading to people joining the military for no reason other than their political beliefs and the desire to protect our nation. Why is the far-left (Liberals, Democrats, Communists, etc.) so anti-war? This is the real world. Diplomacy does not always work (such as the peace talks that were shut down with the attack of Pearl Harbor). Diplomacy without the backing of force is just a request. Boots on the ground is a very real, very necessary thing to create a safe place for your own country, and the sooner the left can accept that the better. In the lefts mind, the world wouldn't have any militaries, or governments, or borders, or anything, which is basically Marx's vision of communism.
The only way to truly be at peace is to be so overwhelmingly powerful that no rational country would dare attack you, and idea made popular by the legendary Ronald Reagan

I'm going to ignore your comments about Rome since I'm not an expert and I'm certain you aren't either. But it's likely you're wrong since you're usually wrong. Of course your blanket statements about The Left are completely wrong as well. There is no prominent voice on the left advocating for any of those things.
America is NOT very threatened by Iran. That's hogwash. There's no evidence of this just empty rhetoric from the current administration. Attacking Iran adds greater uncertainty and risk to the entire world and ultimately puts the U.S. in a weaker position. There was a significant contingent of people who voted for Trump because he was America First and didn't start any wars. He has failed those people (and us all). Anyway you're almost of age so I'm looking forward to hearing your stories of bootcamp after you join the military. Hopefully you can get posted to Okinawa and get your Japanese fix while protecting American interests at the same time.

Yes, diplomacy doesn't work when you attack in the midst of negotiations, which is why actual diplomacy is much more successful. Might doesn't make right, it just determines who says what is "right."
I think the biggest difference I see between our perspectives (assuming from your post history that you are team red) is that you see mankind's strength in competition, and I see if in cooperation. War is the opposite of that, and the money we waste on it would be much better spent on productive endeavors that actually improve peoples' lives, therefore I oppose it. And so did your president, at least when he was campaigning as the peace president.

I've actually decided to pursue corporate law in Italy rather than military in Japan. Why? Because A. I want to get married. Hard to get married if the women like working 80 hour weeks. B. Honestly, I just don't have the time to study a language as monumentally difficult as Japan, especially since im working on bad grades right now and will be getting a summer job. And it's really not hogwash. Forty years of hostile activity makes it a threat to America. Besides, as far as I know, I don't think we're trying to conquer Iran, just limit its nuclear and military abilities.

Define "Actual Diplomacy" Diplomacy without any backing of force is just a request, and when was the last time a request stopped a war? Not even if they said "Pretty please with sugar on top". Diplomacy just isn't as effective as peace through strength. Whatever happened to Rome? They got destroyed by political instability, barbarian invasions, and maniac emperors.
Hey, the Greeks were some of the most skilled diplomats of all time, whatever happened to them?

You said America is "very threatened" by Iran. Yet nothing has changed significantly in years. Certainly nothing warranting this kind of attack. I have heard nobody with actual expertise on this subject say so. Of course we're not trying to conquer Japan. That wouldn't be possible.
Italy has American bases. You can also become a lawyer in the military. And find a bride there too. Win win win.

Yeah, but I wanted to be a pilot, and it's very hard to be a pilot if you're over like, 6 foot 3, and I'm projected to be 6 foot 6. Since I've decided I don't really wanna be in the military, I'm probably looking for dual citizenship, just in case this whole fiasco with Israel and Palestine and the stuff in Iran blows up, I can revoke my citizenship in the US if I'm not above 25, since if I'm working this hard to get into corporate law theres no way that I'm throwing it all away to go serve. Hopefully, if WWIII does break out, its after I'm 26.
