What's a "lorry" ?

hi i hope i can help in this i am a lond distance driver on what we call in the uk artics.or in america 18 wheelers.that is a cab.or unit,truck,or lorry that pullsa trailer behind her.a truck is a commercial vehicle used fro the transport of large goods to a destination anywhere where normal modes of transport are not available to be used.if i can be of any further help please do get in touch

The trailer component of a "tore-ra" is never referred to as a "tore-ra", interestingly enough. The appellation refers to the combination of tractor and trailer.

Enough with the suspense already! So what word do they use to refer to the trailer part of a tore-rasha?

Sorry Mike, I wasn't aware anyone was interested. Didn't mean to keep anyone in suspense.

窶佚､ﾅｽﾃ (daisha) or ﾆ歎ﾆ槌陳ーﾆ歎 (shaashi). The latter from "chassis", of course, and referring specifically to trailers used for intermodal containers. One sometimes hears ﾆ椎?ﾆ但ﾆ谷ﾂー (riakaa) used as well. That from "rear car".
