What time period......?

If you could go back in time, what time period would you visit and see the way life was like? Personally would like to go as far as back to ancient times. Like ancient Rome, Egypt, or perhaps even China. But then again, if I were a woman in ancient Greece, I would rather be a Spartan woman. They had more freedom than other Greek women. But enough about that. I love feedback!

You are not really clear in your question. First you not only have to distinguish the time you want to go back to, but also the place &/or culture (Rome 2000 years ago was quite different from any part of Norway or Japan at the time).

Second you want to live there or just visit as a kind of tourist for a short time?

I would want to visit (& experience for a while) a lot of places & times, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to live in many (if any) of them.
