i used to be real big in collecting money... when i PSC's to japan 1 box never made it. that box containing coins and bills worth severaly thousands that ive got over the years. along with other stuff like movies and games...

now i dont collect to much.

The UK Royal Mint doesn't have any 1oz gold coins for sale, so I can't match it to the IS 1oz Eagle...but it does have a 1/10 ounce, as does the US mint site.

I don't know what a star note is.

I've been debating if I should get the silver in coins or ingots.

Coins...I will get more please out of owning them...and can display them.
Ingots...Will be much easier to sell on when i'm older.

I think silver is cheap at the moment, and its price will increase more inthe years to come than gold will.

Well it all depends on the market in the UK for gold and silver. Right now in the States silver and gold are both in high demand for coins that are about five years old and more. Like I said a $5 gold coin is worth over $1500 on some auction floors depending on the state and year of the coin. As for what a star note is, a star note is a dollar bill (doesn't matter what amount) that had a star on it. The star is to siginfy that the bill has been made twice. What I mean is that the bill was printed by the mint, but it was a screw up so it was reprinted again on the same bill. Those things are actually pretty valuable here in the states. Consectuative bills are also a valubable thing here too. BTW I wouldn't go by the US Mint's site for price quotes. The coin value books are much better in telling you the overall estimated worth and value of a coin in the end. ;-)
