A friend is trying to identify what country this stamp is from. He thinks it's very old. It looks like Cyrillic writing but that's a guess. I think Ukraine ,(just a guess) but wonder what year it was printed.

Late to the party... The symbol at the top made me think of the Ukrainian coat of arms, but I didn't realized how old the trident symbol actually was: Coat of arms of Ukraine - Wikipedia
