I came up with an Idea, to have a general news thread for J-Rock. Most of the time if there is news it will go to the thread about the artist. I thought what if we could have a thread that just has all new news about J-Rock bands, so you don't have to go searching, online or through threads for news. Whoa... All this new information. Speaking of releases, which appears to be the majority... I have some new info on a D'espairsRay release, and Gazette... ^^

New D'espairsRay DVD!!
D'espairsRay's music documentary DVD! Contains interview with the members, their music history, private scenes and more. Precious DVD to see the real D'espairsRay.
Will be released February 22, and currently has no image, or title it appears, as of yet. Cost is 3800ﾂ??

NIL Release!
Gazette's newest album, NIL, is being released February 8, 2006. It is being released with 2 versions; a regular edition with 12 tracks, including the latest single Cassis, a deluxe 16-page booklet. The limited edition contains a 12 track CD, also including Cassis, a 28 page booklet, a DVD with the PV for SHADOW VII I, and a velour package.
The price for the regular edition is 3 150ﾂ?叔rom the Gazette OHP, but is 3 000ﾂ?出n cdjapan.
The limited edition price is 3 600ﾂ?叔rom cdjapan and 3 780ﾂ?叔rom the Gazette OHP. Expect different prices for different stores.

Heath's solo band

HEATH's solo band has grown! Several famous JRockers now support HEATH - namely, Kouji (ex. La'Cryma Christi), Kazuno, and Tohru (both ex. Moi dix Mois). Their first open gig will be the "CHAIN REACTION Vol. 2" event on January 15th.

Moi dix mois welcome back

Moi dix mois will return on 1st March 2006 with a new vocalist and a mini-album.

The CD release will be simultaneous in Japan and Europe (gan-shin for Germany). The mini-album will be released in two versions. The first press will include 12 songs (5 instrumental) and the second version will contain 7 tracks and will include a 16 page book.

There was something about this on the MdM thread here... his name is something... like... *goes to look* oh yes... Seth. And he grows a mean radish...

I heard on Batsu that Kazuno and Tohru are leaving. Goodness knows where it will lead to...

i'm sure many people has heard of this in the other forum and it's quite an old news too , but i'll post it here again just in case.. Gackt is going to appear in his second game, Final Fantasy VII : Dirge of Cerberus.. he has his own character, apparently it's going to be a high-rank soldier or something like that.. and he's singing the theme song for it. It's the first time for Final Fantasy to put a real life person as a character too..! d**mnit gackt, u have everything a star could ever ask for. your own book,own movie,own game and now u have to appear in final fantasy too you can't possibly get any more famous than this.. what next? star in a drama, perhaps?

I actually heard this just like an hour ago while looking through Xanga blogrings. I sort of like the idea of him being in a game, then in another don't because it is final fantasy!!!!

It's an advantage for him as it will gain him more popularity in America and the Uk. And perhaps make it to do more video games OST songs?

Just as u said drama there...emmediately I thought of Gackt in Eastenders!! oh dear....that would be terrible. Lmao *shuushs up* All I can say is that i hope the song is good!!

i actually had a double-take when i read earlier, that gackt will be in FF . he already had his own game, Bujingai which the main character was modeled after him. but to have a part in final fantasy is another story..it's like a legendary rpg..and that's such a huge acomplishment..even for someone as Gackt! wikipedia said that he'll even be wearing the character's outfit[designed by tetsuya nomura] on his latest Diabolos tour.

Sorry if this is already known news, but I just found out that D'espairsRay is going to be performing at MegaCon 2006 in Orlando Florida. ^_^

And about Gackt being in FFVII ... I heard that Cloud and Tidus (FFX/X-2) were modeled after him. I doubt this is true though ... >_>;; Still, if he's getting his own character ... that's pretty cool. xD

i doubt that cloud and tidus were modeled after him too,as they didn't look the least like gackt to me.. but Gackt claims that squall(FFVIII) was modeled after himself, and he calls squall Gackt#2 ^^;;(and i think in a certain picture of gackt,they really look alike!) wow.. d'espairs ray is getting pretty famous in us too..cheers for them!!

I think the issue is wether or not Squall were modelled after Gackt. Just take a look at Gackt from the Merveilles days and at Squall.... I see the resemblence.
Ooh, and I can't help wondering how long Manas new vocalist is going to stay. He seems to have a talent for scaring off singers, that Mana.
And damn, wish Kagerou would play a concert too, not just a festival. Coming all the way over to Europe for what, a little under an hour of playing seems a bit of a waste.
Not to mention it seems a bit of a waste to go all the way to Germany to see them perform for just a short time...

This is a great idea for a thread. I hope it lives.

have they held a concert there before?(i dont know so don't blame me for this, sorry) if not, then i think it's a great way to play in a festival first, to get noticed and survey the fanbase. so that later they can hold a live with confidence,ne? it would be terrible to hold a live, and only a few people went or not many ppl know them, wouldn't it..
