Soul Calibur 2

You're probably thinking of Talim. She's the most agile and quickest player to use.

Ah yes, that was her name, haven't played it in awhile, and didn't feel like going downstairs and checking, lol.. yeh she's my favourite girl :-)

Anybody got Talim's third costume? What's up with her hat-do rag-thing?

I do. Just looks like Xianghua's costume. I had to pay a fortune to buy it too.

:D That's why you build up lots of money and save right before you're about to buy a costume! If ya don't like it you can reset it, if ya do like you still got cash left. Money isn't a problem for me as of now.
Tip on getting money: beat the arcade (or extra arcade) with every character. You get 2000 for each character, plus the profile.

I think if you get link(gamecube)he can woop hinny on the guy he is slow but very powerfull.Talim is a good choice also its a had choice.BUT LINK IS THE BEST I THINK!!!!!!!!!!! 👍 👍 👍

Thanks for rubbing into PS2 owners.

lol kor, i actually think link sucks and doesnt fit into the soul calibur mold nor does spawn since the both have projectiles. cheesy. worse than maxi, the tiger/eddy of soul calibur, the button mashers best friend, if you ask me.

hahaha. But i love tiger/eddy on Tekken. [Tekken being my fav fighting game.] It takes more then one button....like two a t the most. but lei is tight. Thank got for Raphael! :haihai:

Ah yes, thank you Zell for rubbin git into us Sony loyalists!
And as for Link having projectiles, is that really so bad? And doesn't Taki have projectiles? I was reading a description of her throwing knives and it said they could be thrown. Can they?

sorry about that vincent and as goes for the knifes throwing thing idk.i never seen her do it in very hard mode or in any mode i have not didi it either.but link i love to shoot people in the foot and woop on them.

umm taki's poison dart thing, hits people in the leg/foot, but its hardly a projectile since you have to be right next to the person to hit them with it, as it goes nearly straight down.

Oh...that's a cheap projectile for a ninja .
I'm starting to get really good with Talim. Her hits do decent damage, and she's very fast, which is good if I'm going against Assassin or Berserker.

One of the sad things about Talim is that she is too innocent (listen to some of her pre or post battle comments). I think her image just doesn't fit into the whole game. They should turn her into a more bad girl type. :-)

Talim has some of the lamest lines.
"Wind! Guide me!"
*while hacking at the air* "I am one with the wind!"
*while holding her tofas to her chest* "My heart is still pounding!"

Nightmare and Cervantes have the coolest lines.
Nightmare: Blood, darkness, come unto me!
Cervantes: Your soul makes a poor meal!

Yes, I know! I always start the match off with her move where ya run toward the opponent, press triangle, and she jumps at their face. Dunno name for it. For being done by a small girl, that move is powerful. I can take out several people using that move just 4 times.

Or the lamest of them all:

"Are you okay?" (During the face to face screen before the match when you push the "O" button).

I dont know they are all the sayings are pretty korny if ya ask me i mean honestly if you got in a fight who would say stuff like that. The only other thing i dont like about this game is it is a button masher same with Marvel vs. Capcom/2/Capcom vs. Snk and button mashers really get on my nerves after awhile when you are fighting a guy and he just keeps doing 1 move or a chese combo and there is no fight to it what so ever i personally like tekken more than the games i described abouve because you accually need tactics instead of button mashing.

True that Timf! 👍 But soul caliber has some characters that you could handle well with more then one button. 😌

*shrug* i use the japanese voices for soul calibur, they sound better and even if what a character says is cheesey you cant understand it anyway.

i think that is called the scizzor kick not 100% but i think so and i like to use her one power up move and swing her tonfas back and then i come down on them with the light kinda vauge.but i have it for gamecube and i just use the c-stick and push it forward and she does it if you do it back ward she does a different one also.

Ah, scissor kick. I love that move. I did it to Taki in a dungeon, and the ring was iced over so it sent her flying off the ring.
Meh, there is some strategy in SC2. Again, I will use an iced-over ring for example. I'm Talim, and I'm fighting Cassandra. We both keep running towards each other, attack, and change our course so that we weren't getting anywhere. We must've kept this up for half the time limit, at least. Finally I'm like "wait, I'll just stand here, wait for her to come to me, and whack her." So I stood in the center, and she ran towards me, and the AI for her was pretty stupid because she did an attack before she got to me, so then I just did the basic horizontal attack and she slid off into the abyss.
Sooo, that is sort of startegy, even though it's kinda simple. And in my opinion, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is more button mashing than SC2.

i totally agree and the thing about marval vs. capcom 2 is if you know what to do then you can kick people but without having to button mash.and as goes for sc2 and the ice arena i loveeee it because when you go forward you slid do links little hor. attack kills them in one shot and did you beat that game because i didi it waz fun and i got everything in the game whall almost everything in the game.

my fav. people on that game are

1.link
2.talim
3.and thats just abot it i use these people through the whole game
