I listened to the clip and it sounds pretty good. As previously stated, i'm excited for the new album.

I wasn't trying to make this into a Satsuki VS Kyo thing...but WE ALL KNOW Kyo is the King of slur lol. I know that Satsuki has "slurred" many time befores, but its become more apparent since Protoplasm imo...maybe because hes been singing in his deeper pitches more?

I also don't think any of the changes they made are bad or drastic either. I'm loving their new style just as much as their old one. ^_^

though as PK mentioned..tracks 2 and 3 off the new single were kinda what-ish. I guess they're saving all the good stuff (save for the title tracks) for the album!

Oh God oh God oh God.... I finally listened to the new single today... aaaaaaaaahhh I have been stuck in the middle of nowhere for the last week absolutely craving to hear this... practically frothing at the mouth... waah... *gnaws on random passers-by*

I LOVE the title track, Karasu Iro no Taiji... ah man, I really love it... it is so good... the detail, everything; I can't pick out one thing I like most... I'm just reduced to gibbering incoherency; maybe sometime next week I'll have recovered enough to write something a bit more intelligent about it. The track that's a bunch of numbers (I'm too lazy to check; my copy hasn't arrived so I downloaded it)... well, I don't know what to think about that, I am slightly... surprised I think is the word. XD. And I prefer the original of PROTOPLASM rather than the remix, but I still like the remix too in its own way.

Gahhh... mine came today but the postman wouldn't wait long enough for me to get to the freaking door so I have to pick it up from the post office tomorrow. I'm so mad... so mad I cleaned my room and washed 5 loads of clothes cause I didn't know what to do with myself. LOL.

I am strangely attracted to the new clip on the OHP... I think I've listened to it more then I've listened to Karasu Iro no Taiji... haha. I think it's such a weird sounding song but I love it... I hope they put more clips up throughout the month!

Satsuki started talking about live videos in his journal again... damn if there isn't a live dvd coming out soon or a live clip on the dvd with the limited edition I'm gonna beat him... lol.

I didn't even have to sign for it... the slip they left to pick it up didn't have the sign for package box checked! That's weird... maybe you just look ridiculously young cause I didn't think it matter how old you were. I used to sign for packages and shipments all the time at all my previous jobs. It didn't matter I wasn't a manager... all they wanted was my last name for records to prove it was received... haha. 8 more hours till I can go pick it up... I'm counting down! LOL

People tell me I look like i'm 12 all the time and i've been able to sign for a few packages without them asking but all of the other ones are is a parent up then i tell them my age and they let me sign for them.

So which does everyone like better: Protoplasm or Karasu Iro no Taiji?

Personally, i'm leaning towards Karasu Iro no Taiji, but they are both great.

I haven't yet heard Karasu Iro no Taiji, but I do know that I really like the bells in Protoplasm...kind of reminds me a church graveyard somewhere in Europe. I have no idea why.

I also like the vocals in that song. Goes from calm...to loud...to screaming...back to calm...etc.

I will eventually listen to Karasu Iro no Taiji, but I rarely, if ever, buy singles. Protoplasm was the exception, since it had such glowing reviews. I'm a cd kind of girl. XD

On the single, I prefer Karasu Iro no Taiji over the PROTOPLASM remix. But between that and the original of PROTOPLASM... ahhh... I'd be hard-pressed to choose.

As for 20060225 [does it have an 0 in the middle? I can't remember! XD]... haha... I have to say... props to them for doing something different!

RES are one of the few bands who can use synths in rock and still make me love them. ☝

lol @ Riyko... at least you don't look old... I started to feel really old when I got to about age 19, and all of a sudden, when I answered the door to a salesman or someone, instead of saying "Is your mom or dad home?" like they always said before, they started to say "Are you the home owner?"... now that made me feel old!

The Protoplasm and Karasu Iro no Taiji singles are more like "standard" singles with remixes and such. I thought they were going to release singles more in the format of Wither, and Mizu Yume Miru Chouchou. (title tracks, then two original tracks) But like I mentioned earlier, I guess they saved the original stuff for the album.

This might seem like an odd question but I received my Karasuiro no Taiji single today and it seems a lot different than the singles I normally receive.
There isn't a booklet in this one. It's just a clear plastic case with the CD in it... and I'm wondering if this is the same for other people have received this CD.

On the ReS site, under discography, it has another image aside from what the CD looks like, but it's no where to be found.

I'm just really curious. Thanks for any help. ^^

Wow, that's weird! I'm really glad I didn't waste my money on the single if that's the case! Two crap tracks and they throw it in a CD case. I really hope you just got screwed over haha. (Not that I hope you got screwed, but that I hope they really have a booklet and artwork for the single.)

@ Coshh that's got to suck sometimes people say that to me. i've avoided answering the door unless i'm the only one home, but when i drive it gets alot worse

@kwissipie I think the regular edition one is like that, the one on yesasia that's the one they have it's just the cd in a clear case and it's the regular edition one.

I'm pretty sure I got a first privelage CD. I preordered it at least a month before its release, from Third Stage, and it came with the postcard and comment paper the first press said it would. They've been pretty good with my other albums, too.

It just confuses me-- the images that they have on Rentrer en Soi's website. I even looked on BRAND X's website, and it looks pretty much like what I got, so I'm wondering if that's the way they actually come.

I just hope that I didn't get a bootleg... :/

No kwissipie... that's how the first press single is. Apparently it's the special packaging... haha... what's special except that the cd is see-through and in a normal cd case? I thought it was gonna be gold cause photographed it looks gold but it's clear. I'm so happy... I was so disappointed thinking it was gold... what a relief! XD I still kinda want to get the regular press too... I am hopeless >_< The regular press should be the red cover and possibly a regular single case. I picked mine up today. I was right in guessing Karasu Iro no Taiji was written by Shun. I'm so smart... I deserve a cookie! The lyrics are so freaking tiny though cause there is no insert so it on the little obi in orange print onto the pictures which makes it harder to read. I think my eyes are going bad which only makes matters worse... haha! And I was also right he was screaming in English. I deserve a second cookie! Takumi did the remix.... nerd! haha jk I love you. The single sounds way better in my stereo then my crappy laptop speakers... lol. I sorta like the other tracks now. The remix has it's moments. I can atleast listen without laughing now. The live track I still hate how its choppy but atleast the quality sounds better. The single was produced but RES like PROTOPLASM was so I it makes me wonder if Yukari is gone for good. My postcard is bent! I'm so pissed... I guess they didn't handle my package with care... butt-pies! I'll see if I can translate or atleast romanize the lyrics... I already got maybe half of it done romanized cause I was bored and computer/internet less... LOL! Here's the Satsuki-grish part for those curious... HAHA!

As for which I like better... Karasu Iro no Taiji just a little more... PROTOPLASM is ever so close.

Since the Karasuiro no Taiji single has the limited edition cover first and the normal edition cover second (I think?) I think that one might be the limited edition one and the inverted one under it on the Rentrer en Soi page might be the normal edition?

Any other ideas from anyone?
