Hello everyone! I just recently started going to a Japanese Language school on Saturday mornings. Now as it is fun, the issue with it is very fast paced now they are exspecting us to know around 60 to 70 works by the end of every week. Now I have sat down with my flash cards and studied the words however, the problem I am facing is not understanding them really but is able to come off the words off the top of my head. Does anyone have an idea or a study strategy to help me to remember these words thanks so much!

If you need to study that much words in such a short period of time, you could consider writing the words a few times. If you have written all words multiple times, you should know them pretty well. Also, do not forget to keep studying the words you had in the past lessons. It is very easy to forget words if you don't use them too much.

I mean i do that but its different lol... writing them out works well with Kanji or Chinese. However, here through I can't come up with them off the top of my head. Like ill understand if someone is telling me about their family members and cousins and things. But I coulden't start talking to them like that if that makes any sense?
I think you have to learn the very basic words anyhow.
After that, I advise you to learn a new word, as a part of a sentence.
You study the sentence, learn the sentence structure and grammar, learn every words. Then you had better read the sentence a lot of times, until you can say the sentence by heart.
Memorizing the whole sentence is much easier than memorizing words one by one.
