Question re: To/Cc

just been looking up what the differences between the To, Cc, and Bcc fields are when sending emails. it seems fairly straight forward, although...

Cc stands for carbon copy - if you want to send a copy of the message to someone else, you can put their email here. but up until now, i've just put them all in the To field. (eg. To: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) my question - what the hell's the difference???

"BC" Is very handy - it sends a copy to the individual of your choice - but doesn't let anybody else know!

It stands for "blind copy" ;-)

The "cc" field doesn't function differently then the "To" field. It's more a form of etiquette then function actually

In the "CC" field you place the email-address of persons you don't actually address in the email, but need to know about the email-exchange anyway. For instance a supervisor who doesn't actually have to do anything with the information in the email, but needs to know about this is going on anyway.
