It was pretty nasty on the morning after...when all the drunk people got up around noon and the hot August sun was cooking it on. The whole neighborhood smelled like warm vanilla pudding. I was forbid to do it again by 2 neighbors...LOL I can't wait for our next luau...LOL
Was it slippery? I could probably answer my own question because pudding, in fact, is slippery........
So how many neighbors had complaints? I find this luau thing fascinating
john, all those pics remind me of the theme parties we used to have, i wanna do more of them. mud wrestiling was always fun. then there was tequila night...
I guess I should post some photos I have a new album which includes some photos of my new haircut. Not really dramatic but it was kinda scary to let a Japanese hair stylist loose on my hair! I mean, even stylists in NZ who have experience with curly hair are scared of my hair..... Luckily it turned out ok - after 2 hours in the salon! http://public.fotki.com/Kyushugrl/
do you mean why are stylists scared of my hair or why was I in the salon for 2 hours? Stylists are scared of my hair because it is sooooo thick. If you brush it dry it looks like a huge 70's afro. I am not joking! Some stylists have been quite rude about my hair -one called it a mop!
I was in the salon for 2 hours because he was a little nervous about cutting my hair plus communication was a little difficult because my Japanese isn't so great hehe..... I really wanted to cut my hair short but if I do, I look like a poodle, so I settled for layers and thinning and a trim.
We only had 2 neighbors really complain. Not to boast, we have never had the cops called...that is a good thing. We were out there until the sun started to come up. There were 4 girls and 1 guy in the pudding wrestling contest. The guy won the drinking game and that was his prize. The only sucky thing is that people now expect great games and prizes like that one.
Check out the pudding on the fence...LOL
Amazingly enough, that neighbor didn't complain...LOL

well, i hopefully will be back in japan in july, but when i was there i dont think i could trust anyone to cut my hair. i had long hair, down past my shoulders, and i am a black male, with curly haiir and its thick as i dont know what. I dont think they could cut or do anything to my hair. i would be scard, and i am also growing it back out. I guess i like my long hair but thick curly hair is very foreign to them so i guess i will figure a way to manage my hair when i go back.
