HA HA...that was funny. I speak English, and a little of the following: Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Ancient Egyptian, Pig Latin, and Bad English.

Modern Egyptians speak Arabic.

I speak English, French, a little Italian, a little Japanese, and a little Spanish. I love learning languages. Especially European languages. I'd like to learn Arabic too.

yeah languages are fun, like a secret code that you can talk to people in and most americans will have no idea what you are saying.

I remember when I first started picking up Spanish from the Mexicans that worked on my grandparents farm, I went up to my mom and said "manzana", and she thought I was calling her a bad name...hehe

We are getting way OT now...lol
 
haha my fav spainish phrases are: uno mas cerveza por favor (substitute 'uno' for any other number you may need) and un duela mi ojo - it just sounds alot cooler than 'i hurt my eye'

alot of whats been on this thread has been OT but it somehow always manages to right itself, lol someone will post a picture soon enough.
 
Don't stop the conversations! I love them. It helps us all know each other. It's like our own chat room until they get one set up for us (assuming they will)!

Ok, I know English, German, Japanese, a little Spanish, and I'm learning Russian.
 
i only know two languages,Cantonese and English

i can hear Mandarin but can't speak it,know a few French and Japanese words
i am also poor in writing Chinese and I can't hear if someone speaks Chinese too fast

I don't think I have accents when speaking English because a teacher told me that I don't have that Chinese accent like other Chinese people have.

when I came here,I learn English by watching NBA games and going to school and playing basketball with non-Cantonese people,like some Mandarin chinese people,some white,black,korean,phillpinos,vietnamese

I don't read books to study English,thats why I am still poor in vocabulary and writing essay/paragraphs

and thats the only Vietnamese word I know
 
i know very little Japanese by listening to Japanese songs
words like 'kokoro' (heart),and some words sounds similar to Chinese,
or know what the letters look like,without knowing the meaning,
such as 'mama',or 'koro mama','ku'..

XD @ Jeisan: My mom had to do that because I had TONS of hair as a kid, and I still do...actually my hair is now about 65-70cm long ^_^ I'm getting it somewhat cut tomorrow *_*
@Dream Time: I've been asked if I was asian so many times. Noone ever thinks that I'm spanish. I'm usually asked if I'm Japanese...I don't know why...o_@ mind boggling ne?

I know some spanish and some japanese. Of course there are those phrases in another language that we know from movies
 
lol and i was thinking he tangos with 2 cats in his pants. my spainish isnt so good afterall. oh well plenty of time to learn.

I am awful at spelling spanish. I worked at a restaurant with an entirely Mexican kitchen staff...now you know where my spanish comes from. They told me that weuvos de fuego means balls of fire...kinda like Jerry Lewis' song.

oh you are Spanish, but you do look kinda Asian

many people asked if I am Japanese or they think I am Japanese or they say I look like Japanese..

a Chinese woman spoke Chinese to my father and then spoke English to me,she probably thought I was born here and could not speak Chinese eh?
