Dude! You were in the Navy? Cool! So was I! Joined in 1976, my ship (USS Knox FF-1052) transferred to Japan in 1977, and yeah, I visited Subic Bay too. Damn! Was that place ever wild and crazy back in the day, once past the main gate to the base, it was like wandering into Sodom and Gomorrah! What a town!
I was in the Navy 1967-71 and 1973-85. I have many vivid memories of Olongapo (and the PI in general). Olongapo was even busier in 1968-69, at the height of the Vietnam War. Where were you in Japan? I was stationed aboard the USS Midway, homeported at Yokosuka, from 1975-1977.
Here is another photo of me, from the same gallery, standing by my locker in the barracks:

I was in the Navy from 1976 to 1996. As Walt Disney once said, "It is a small world after all"! I was stationed at Yokosuka from August 1977 to Deccember 1978. Then I probably saw your ship from time to time. My time in Japan was easily the best time I ever had while I was in the Navy, I only wish I could seen more as Japan was (and still is) an incredibly amazing place. Thanks for the pics. I'll have to see if I can find some of my pics from those days.
Here's a color photo of you know who from 1956. I think I look like Alfred E. Nueman from MAD comic magazine in it, LOL.
