[Dogen Z]

Another manga adapted, live action movie, Ashita no Joe, is coming to the screens in Tokyo very shortly. It's about a juvenile delinquent who becomes a pro boxer. Starring Yamapi and with Hikaru Utada's "Show Me Love" as its theme song I'm sure it'll be a hit. Yamapi is a fine actor and he's become buff in last few years-he's perfect for the part.

The live action Space Battleship Yamato turned out to be a Mega-Hit over the holiday season. Kimutaku always puts in a good performance although you can't tell from the trailer.

Live action Gantz is playing now, but I don't know how well it's doing. All I know is the costumes look cool.

I've always been a fan of boxing and I got to say this looks like a great movie. I'll have to check out the manga next time I'm at the comic shop. Thanks for making this thread about it. Be sure to let us now how it is if you have a chance to see it!

An interesting movie that will come out is "Hankyu Densha". It's based on a book about a 15 minute train ride here in the Kansai area. The book itself sold over 240.000 copies. The movie will be aired somewhere in April.
