A better way would be to write something like "Congratulations on your 28th year",

If you put this year's date on it, it makes it seems like this year is the last and final year your sensei will be participating.
It almost makes it sound like he/she is dying this year.
(But otherwise, yes what you have written is correct).

Hi bilingual people, I want to check if my translation is correct. I'm trying to spell "Workout Mix" in kanji. This is what I have so far:

練習混 . Now I don't know a lot about kanji, so I don't know if I can just glue 練習 and 混 together or even if it's correct. Is someone willing to check this for me? Thanks in advance

Could you give a bit more detail what you mean by "Workout Mix". Is it like a mix of recorded songs for a workout (at the gym, etc.)?
Or something else?

Yes, it's for a compilation of songs from a video game. It's meant as a mix to be used for workouts yeah

It would be ワークアウトミックス
You couldn't do it in kanji. Well, it wouldn't be comprehensible. It's not readily apparent even in katakana, but I think its the best available.

In modern parlance I'd go with ワークアウトプレイリスト
or if you want to keep some kanji for the aesthetic maybe ワークアウト音楽
or perhaps even 筋トレ音楽

How about 練習用曲集, if you prefer a kanji title to loanwords?

I think the lyrics are supposed to reflect a feeling (of relief, hope), rather than make logical sense.
Your translations are fine, except for maybe the second line. I think its the blue sky that is staring at the apple.

I think its Chinese. It looks like a western name written in Chinese characters, but I can't make out the name. Something ending in "tic" or "tick" or "tastic".

The last character is pronounced "ke" in Chinese. It is used in English names such as Nick, Mike, Jake, etc.

By the way, Chinese does have a system of 'kana', in that some Chinese characters are only used for pronunciation, and are used to write English names into Chinese. The use of 尼 (ni) to make up the name 尼克 (nike, to be pronounced as Nick) is a good example. As far as I know, 尼 is only used for its pronunciation. Most Chinese people have no idea of its meaning -- it means Buddhist nun.)

My wife acquired an amazing art work of stained glass which is set in a timber-frame stand. It has Japanese writing and we would like to know what it says. Can someone interpret? Especially artist name or date? Slogans? Thank you!

It is a copy of an ukiyoe woodblock print drawn by Torii Kiyohiro (1737-1776), of three Edo-era beauties smoking and playing sugoroku. The writing in the bottom right is the artist's name. The small writing in the second picture is the publisher (板元 "Itamoto"). The large writing above the ladies is a poem, but I can't figure it out.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston says the transliteration is

Shushi shusan
yoru to kashimashi
tsuki no neya

but that doesn't help me much. In the first place, I'm not sure that transliteration is correct, and in the second place I don't get any hits on this poem if I put it back into Japanese. Some allusion to women getting boisterous when they get together, and maybe a play on the word "boisterous". In Japanese this is written as 姦 , which is a single kanji consisting of three characters of "woman" (女), as if to say when three women get together things get noisy.
