:? Actually I don't agree. Even though that pic is... perhaps the most hideous of him - I've never seen a pic of Aya without make up that has been handsome. And I like Aya, I really do! He's the cutest! But... without the make up, he's just someone completely different...

I'm sorry - I really really really LOVE those Kaoru pics: But he's definitely not girly in them. Just very hot and pretty. I really like Kaoru - but Hyde is more female-looking. I agree with Kinsao; I like men better than girls anyways (as long as they're pretty men ) Hyde can look a lot like a woman when he wants to - but when he does it's almost scary. And when Hyde's a 'man' ( when he's not cross-dressing) he's just... little and cute. Kaoru is waaaaaaaay hotter. But his cheekbones makes it impossible for him to become a woman

Did you not read the other part? Not all that many people in that time period looked very good. Period. Also, just because not ALL don't look bad, doesn't mean that's not a good enough excuse. Gazette could just have enough money to hire a good make-up artist or are good with make-up themselves.
