I like most J-rock bands from: Malice Mizer, Buck-Tick, L'Arc En Ciel, Uverworld, The Gazette, Raphael, Kagrra, Kagerou, early Dir En Grey, Scanch, Givuss, Plastic Tree, independent Kaz Nishida (I think they are Japanese...), Glay, Duel Jewel, etc

However overall the least impressing group I have seen in Jrock would have to be Asian Kung-fu generation, I still listen to it once in a while, however everytime when i listen to there music I get very bored. There music is too plain, dull, predictable, generic, doesn't stand out, and other words.

I still like them like I said, but usually when I have listened to other great bands too much.
Anyone else agree with me?

I know they are popular, when i went to Japanese the second Japanese student that hosted me in the Yamanashi Prefecture that went to Yamanashi Gakuin enjoyed them as one of his 3 favorite groups. Which from my observations, he is the type of the person that cares about his music more than school.

Whats so Great about Asian Kung-fuu Generation?

I would like to know the same thing! I guess just because that's their mainstream music. That's my guess anyways:? If they don't listen to anything but that then I suppose they would think it's great.....

Oh well, if I said, "Diru" Dir En Grey, would you all hate me because of it :sorry:
but for me it's too heavy, and I don't like their scene performance technique !

Well I would have to say a lots of Jbands, because I have heard many off of Youtube. My least favourite would have to be I guess Kra (The singer sounds like his voice is all winy and hi pitched) really annoys my ears when I listen. (Were's the good heavy VK that most bands have.... Kra doesn't have that sound)

Oh and I also really don't like the Jrock band Buck-Tick... I'm not going to say why I don't like Buck-Tick (To put it straight I don't like them and that's it)

So as you can tell from what I put.... I like bands that scream, are Jmetal, or close to Jmetal...., But I do also like bands that are Jpop and other styles of VK. (Alice Nine, Miyavi, Acid Black Cherry, LM.C, SuG, Clearveil, Mucc Ect...) :-)

I love early Dir en grey (GAUZE era) when they were super heavy visual and inspired a whole new generation of VK'ers. But then they dropped the "theater" element of the show and persona to become just another heavy rock/metal band. Shame. So I understand what you are saying.

As for least favorite bands... I would say bands that were never into visual kei to begin with but use/used it just to get an audience and then dump it rather than build on it. And boy... is that a long list.

One band I've never been able to get into is Alice Nine; I've tried but just don't like their vocals! 😌

Well geez, What did they do to you? If you don't like the music, that's cool, I get that, but you make it sound like the personally attacked you! I think there's an untold story behind this and I really must know!

Ummm... there isn't really any untold story at all.... I just said what I said, because I bad mouthed Kra so much... I did want to sound even meaner by bad mouthing more... People may get offended (I know stupid choice of word I used) ^^;

Sorry for making it like a have a real bad problem with them..... My mistake. ^^;

Nah, it's cool I understand, although, I was really hoping for a juicy story 👍

Hmm, I guess that I'd have say that it would depend on how I'm feeling. Sometimes, I will want to listen to a certain band and then at another time I won't.

Like I said, the band that I'd dislike most would depend on the mood that I'm in!:-)
