I think it's Tokyo that does it to you the cops there are terrible like you said due to the Mayor, so you should move down to Nara, and enjoy the good life this will bring out more of the witty intelligence you've got and less of the bitterness

i picked up a fairly good book on it called "living and working in japan" although its a little out of date now

pretty good book yeah 5 years old now i think... i copy all of it
