I have a very strange music sense, barr Japanese rock. i like to be different, so I choose to listen to bands/artists who are strange, but I like them!

I was staying on vacation in a big house in the country in Wales with 12 friends, all members of the am-dram group I belong to. Eventually, the others had left and at the final night/day, there were only 5 of us left. As a bit of a laugh, we decided to write a spoof "drama" and video it. My role was "the Paranormal Investigator". For one of the scenes, the "Secretary" was supposed to pick up the phone and call for a paranormal investigator, and the idea was that I walk through the door the next second.
Secretary picks up phone.
"I'd like to speak to a paranormal investigator."
Simultaneously: I walk through the door -- there is a tap on the French windows.
We all turn to the French windows. Someone opens it. There is standing a policeman.
Long pause of bewilderment.
The policeman says: "I received a 'silent' 999 call from this address."
He had logged the time of the call on his phone. The odd thing was, not only had the phone been cut off all day (yes, really! classic!), but at the time he said the call was made, we had all been sitting around watching TV. I was sitting right beside the only phone in the house, and I know that no-one made a call at that time.
To make the situation even funnier, here is what we were wearing when the policeman walked in:
Me - a black furry blanket, a brimmed hat pulled down, a black scarf pulled up, and carrying a table-tennis bat (don't ask!).
Friend 1 - a towel instead of a skirt.
Friend 2 - a short skimpy satin nightie and a big pair of white trainers.
Friend 3 - head-to-toe camoflage gear and an army helmet.
Friend 4 - filthy overalls with the waistband up under his armpits and the fly gaping open.
Sorry about the long story... but I guess you could say it's one of the few "interesting facts about me"!! lol...

Some more interesting facts about me:
---I love teddy bears and have a dozen that sit in a chair in the living room so they can watch TV with me at night. They're big couch potatoes like me!
---For those who are new here, I have a mad passion for Pink Lady (the lovely ladies in my avatar pic), Japan's legendary pop music superstars from the late 70's who, in their day were the 800 pound gorilla of Japan's entertainment scene and are still incredibly popular to this day. ---I always sleep on my right side which faces the bedroom door as I have this irrational fear about someone breaking into the house and sneaking upstairs to kill me in my sleep.
---Despite having a waterproof watch (good down to 100 meters), I always take it off when I bathe or wash my hands. Don't ask me why.
---Wa-a-a-a-a-a-y back in the 70's when I was a teenager, I had a huge crush on Marie Osmond. I thought she was too cute for words. I used to watch the old Donny and Marie TV show every week just to see her!
---For reasons I've never been able to explain, not even to myself, let alone to others, I've been hopelessly fascinated with trash trucks. Ever since I was a kid, I loved trash trucks, during summer vacation, i would follow the trucks through my neighborhood every week, watching them work with a near rapturous look on my face. To this day, I still enjoy watching them.

Okay, facts about me:
I'm an Actress, Gay Rights Activist, Writer, Poet, I trained in Ballet professionally for 5 years, learned to talk before I could walk, I can speak in over 5 dialects, realized I was gay while watching an Anime (Mecha no less), my room is a complete wreck but my CD stacks are OCB-ishly straight and neat (and categorized to boot), I met Jennifer Carpenter once (she's really nice), I can't stand to have dirt under my nails, I'm a Leo, have only been out of country once, I hold a Dark Green Belt in Tae Kwon Do, my 3 Great Muses are: Hyde, Master Shakespeare, and Virginia Woolf, I don't like American restaurants, public bathrooms scare me, I read "Mrs. Dalloway" in one night, memorizing film scripts is a favorite pastime, my favorite Shakespeare play is Titus Andronicus, I have a Leather Fetish, prefer Coke to Pepsi, am an Atheist, have a penny that's so old it's turned green, got a Lego piece stuck up my nose when I was 6, was the first child in my house to swear, am a Pianist and Singer, I pop my right wrist a lot, I painted my room pink out of rebellion against my father, have read "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" over 40 times. This pic was taken in March of 1982 when Marie came to Philly for some charity function. For twenty bucks, people got to have their picture with Marie. I waited in line for nearly two hours for my chance to press the flesh with the object of my affection. Before that day, I had no idea how petite Marie was, she had heels on and she only barely came up to my shoulders. And yeah, I know I looked dorky as hell in my Star Blazers t-shirt! Still, that was one of the happier moments of my unremarkable life!

It is a fact that I'm making this post because Jref is mad that I've never made one before. So there ya go, site.
Since I'm always known as a bit of an oddball, I figured this thread would do wonders to indulge myself in!
(Kind of) Interesting things about me:
-I have an extremely low tolerance for stupidity. I have an even lower tolerance for self-righteous stupidity.
-The professors in my university are the coolest professors, ever!
-I've been warming up to anime lately, after finding some diamonds in the rough.
-I have never gotten drunk, ever. Even when my friend tried to peer pressure me to drink more than I had at the time (which wasn't even much), I told him off. Nor have I ever smoked anything.
-I enjoy Japanese music, among other kinds, but have gotten increasingly irritated by the amateurishness of many Japanese Rock bands. The fanbase itself isn't exactly doing a heck of a lot to win me over, either.
-Incidentally, I was once one of the moderators for a well-known Gackt forum. Reason I left? Well, refer to the first factoid
("Oh my God, people are getting upset over a textbook? That's like getting upset over a piece of trash!" ----Argh!!!!)
-Even as a teenager, I wasn't particularly fond of the majority of other teens (what can I say, I'm an old geezer!). Or at least the really immature ones, who were everywhere at the time.
-I should be doing my work now, but I'm just too addicted to JRef!
-I have a son.... Ahaha, just kidding, just kidding! Moving along!
-I love animals. I even talk to squirrels. My major is environmental science. I've worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center and have handled animals directly. I've taken a course in Environmental Philosophy. And I still vehemently disagree with many animal liberation/rights activists (actually that last statement shouldn't even serve as a contrast with the rest of the other statements, but for some reason, most people would seem to think it would). Just a little teaser before I get enough free time to jump into that Animal Rights thread!

Today I had my second japanese class!!!!
I will have to wait 5 months to return to medical school
I cant stand people giving me orders!!!! I like to do things when I want and my way!!!!
I talk too much, sometimes, when Im alone I have to talk at least to myself (I hope that doesnt make me a freak)
Im completely afraid of growing up!!!
I love mustard and lemons.....food isnt food without them
I have several nicknames: Fufu, Oompa Loompa, and some others in spanish
I hate racist people!!!! I cant help it, Im always defending others

People used to think that I was gay, because I had this weird walk.
I sit around 13 hours a day behind a computer, yes I know TO MUCH.
I have been stabed with a knife when I was 15 by some kid who was 2 years younger then me, but I almost never talk about this.
I am Baka...again? Yes again.
I used to be the only dutch on my highschool class, because the rest was from other etnic.
for the rest, nothing interesting about me.. OW yeah one more thing
I AM GOING TO JAPAN 15June, AND I WILL STAY WITH MY WIFE FOR A LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG TIME in there.
