From the point of view of importance, why you personally need the WWW?
In other words, which from the presented three aspects of the World Wide Web is the most important for yourself?
Lots of thanks for your help with the previous poll (jref.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29825) which I see has been made sticky but the research continues

As of now, there are 75 responses from 10 countries (and another polling site). The votes are as follows:

Knowledge activities: 27 (43%);
Procedural activities: 6 (8%);
Leisure activities: 32 (49%).

There isn't ONE thing for the WWW. Encyclopedias are moving to online, wiki is a good example of one growing at a fast pace in many countries. Transactions? the word "e-commerice" ring a bell? Leasure? gaming, fancy websites, myspace. So, being stuck with voting on one is asinine.

As the way the net is going. Faster, bigger, cheaper. The net will eventually be a true virtual 3d word. Give it 50 years and it will happen within or near that.

I see your point and I know in our e-world choosing one option is difficult but, still, please try deciding what is the most important one for yourself. I myself am a seasoned Internet addict so I know what a challenge it is to settle for only one... Thanks!

I voted for "everything else" or leisure activities. I travel with my laptop, and the WWW is a window into "MY" world when I am away. I was so upset when the internet connection went down at the hotel; I felt lost. It's where I get movies, music, news, e/mail and of course Jref!
