How would humanity end?

Of course its only a matter of time, because the sun has to burn out eventually.
Other than that, I'd have to say a large asteroid strike(which will become impossible as we set up defences against such astronomical terror). As well, nuclear warfare would greatly decrease the amount of humans on the earth, but never totally destroy them, if you added a noncurable, airborne, fatal biological weapon, then you'd have yourself the end of humanity.
Of course,we could always invent a nanobug that could take out the biological weapon, but then the enemies of the world would make them into destructive beings and have them ripping apart humans 24/7.
But since humanity can generally outlive most of these catastrophes, we will probably live on until the end of time, unless we get extremely unlucky.

It is about a super-evolved human that has arisen as a result of mutation, although I'm not sure how closely the film will follow the book. I think there is some terrorism element in the film.
The 'normal' humans in the original story become fearful that the super humans will turn on the others and wipe them out.

I voted "Special germs/viruses show up naturally and destroy mankind" Because they will mutate and become immune with how the global climate is going now.
Either that, and/or some other reason that is caused because of the global warming.

The Irony of human existence is humans in general seem a pessimistic lot always seeing impending doom but we always seem to have this insane habit of surviving and THRIVING.
Chances are a few thousand years down the line the human race will be flying about space in their Weyland-Ford Cosmo Escorts (given an ancient name to buy into the traditional feelings of many conservative families of course) debating how subspace pollution from the jump-drives of the commuter ships is causing ion storms in ever increasing numbers and intensity.
Also there will be a mega corperation called FrankFuji that dominates many area's of trade, waging war on the freedom loving settlers on the edge of populated space. ☝
The corporation will have a big golden statue of "Uncle Frank", the founder, in the main lobby of their mega-station headquarters orbiting Titan, there will be a memorial conference room called the Nurizeko suit, after his business partner who gave him the idea of the company.

Two possibilities. Either we colonize the rest of the galaxy and evolve our way out of humanness into something else, like the precursor races in Arthur C. Clarke's 2001, or Jesus comes back/Armageddon/Ragnarok/pick-your-typical-religious-scenerio. I don't imagine nuclear war, viruses, or a red giant sun stopping us from getting out of the star system and continuing.
