Hello,

First of all, i would like to know how will my computer be able to "recognise" the japanese letters ( because now it just shows me cubes instead ).
Furthermore , do you know any good program or e-book(or any kind of multimedia) for learning japanese?

Thank you

Before asking questions here, please read the stickies "How to type Japanese" and "Before asking your questions read this."

Regarding Japanese learning programs, you could do a search, especially in the Textbooks, texts and language schools section for recommendations.

JREF also has a introductory section on Japanese language and grammar, as well as links to Japanese language study websites. I'm sure they will be sufficient for your needs. 👍

I read the topics that you mentioned and i have a question related to the section "How to type in Japanese".
When i go to my control Panel and click Region and Language Options button and then click the Languages tab at the top and hit the Details button and then click the "Add button" on the middle right and scroll , there is no option for "Japanese"...
Why is that? What should i do?

Thank you

I assume that you have Windows XP?

If you read How to Type in Japanese carefully, you would have found the link to this website:
