Has anyone ever seen Samurai Fiction or Red Shadow?

Hey all,

Just wondering if any of you have ever seen Samurai Fiction or Red Shadow. I have Fiction, and saw a small part of Red Shadow, and they look to both contain Tomoyasu Hotei as a powerful Samurai.. perhaps the same character in both? I heard that the story in Fiction wasn't finished, perhaps this is the next story?

Anyway, Samurai Fiction is a very cool rock - n - roll samurai flick I wholly recommend to anyone looking for something different.

For those of you unfamiliar with Hotei, he is a Japanese musician who plays an incredible guitar (not as incredible as Tak Matsumoto from B'z, but close enough.) appeared on the Kill Bill soundttrack and wrote and scored Samurai Fiction's music.

I've never seen either movie, but they sound pretty interesting.

Guess I'll add them to my "must watch" list of movies.

Well, I can't say about Red Shadow as I have only seen the first few minutes... But Samurai Fiction, wow. You do HAVE to see it. They both seem to share the same vibe.

Samurai Fiction

Samurai Fiction is great, I have Red Shadow, but I can't seem to get beyond the first few minutes myself.
I believe it is a continuation of Samurai Fiction, which makes no sense if he didn't live in the first one.
Maybe it is done in flashbacks?!?

No, I thik it was one as more of a cameo to kind of add to the mystery of what happened to Hotei's character.

Personally, I liked both. Give RS a chance, it's fun.
