Dumb Things You've Done

We tied up a lizard onto a firework.

We wanted to be the first to send a lizard to moon... :) That was when I was 13 years old...

dumbest thing i ever done, was when i was like 11, i was in a library, and i wanted to see a book on the highest shelf, so i decided to climb haha, seeing how i thought nothing would happen i climb, i get the book and i realize my problem, im scared of heights, then something happens and eventually like 20 or 30 books fall on me and im on the floor laughing...

ooh! i just remembered this one, it was back in middle school , i was playing basketball when all of a sudden two kids, steal my backpack, i chase after one, as fast as i could, and we were running really fast, make it short, i wanted to know where both were so i could know if i was going to get into a fight, so i turned around while running and guess what happens *SMACK* head first into a basketball pole... i freeze, fall down and i have like 40 or so kids just look at me and laugh haha

Doesn't Pay To Show Off !!

My dad's company had a softball game between the branch and main office. At the end of the game everyone was peeling out & laying rubber(An automotive company,
we all had hot cars!). I hop in my GMC pick-up with a 454
cubic inch engine, whip it into reverse, and stomp it !!
Lucky me hits the only lamp-post in the parking lot! $800
damage(not to mention my ego) and my new girlfriend
breaks the back window with her head!(funny, that was our last date?) DUH !!!

@frank, haha. I'm sure she wasn't too happy about that. ;-)

Speaking of cars, I don't know why but I have in my life hit curbs more than I care to think about. Just the other day I was turning right onto a road and ran up onto the curb. I guess I just got excited. :? One of the times that I did it I ended up putting a hole in the side of my tire about half the size of my fist. Luckily it was only that one time that I did that.

There have been so many dumb things done by me. I can't even think of any to post because they're so plentiful.

Same here... Dumb things are a thing of life without them what would we laugh at?

:D I can just picture that!

I have a few more ...

The first happened when I was in a grocery store. Some hard candies had fallen out of the candy bins and were spread out on part of the aisle. I came walking along and stepped on a few, and practically wiped out. I went down on one knee, with my arms outstretched to either side to help balance myself. Just then a guy came walking by on another aisle in front of me. He looked at me like, "What is your damn problem?!" I looked like I was either proposing to him or taking my final bow!! How embarrassing ... 😌

Another time was when I used to live in Denver, Colorado. I was waiting for a city bus one morning while standing in the snow. The bus arrives, I get on, pay the fee, and proceed to walk down the aisle. Unfortunately, I had snow stuck to the bottom of my boots, which immediately began to melt on the heated floor of the bus, so as soon as the bus driver pulled forward, I ended up skiing all the way down the aisle--much to the amusement of all the rest of the bus passengers!! Very embarrassing! 😌

This story actually happened to a friend of a friend of mine back in the late '70s. She was snow skiing one day at Breckinridge, Colorado. She was up on one of the expert slopes when she suddenly realized she had forgotten to go to the restroom down at the lodge. It was the middle of the week, so there weren't really any people around that she could see, so she thought, "I'll just go here." She pulls down her pants, but when she squatted down, her skis took off and she wiped out on an embankment! I forget how she was injured, but I do know she had to wait for the first aid men to come and get her, and I'm not even sure if she was able to pull up her pants in the meantime! The first aid men arrive and take her down the mountain to the first aid station. As she's laying on one of the tables, she noticed a guy sitting on another table with a cast on his leg. So she asked him, "What happened to you?" He responded, "Oh, I saw this girl mooning and I hit a tree and broke my leg!!" She felt like crawling under her sheet due to embarrassment!! :D

well this is not something dumb that I had done, but

in highschool

I was peeing in the washroom which is in the locker room
then one white girl who was a classmate of mine (not a good girl,by the way)
suddenly opened the door, stuck her head in and said 'anyone here?'

we loooked at each other for a sec, then she laughed said 'oh sorry!' and closed the door

I don't know whether did she see my "watergun" though. :D

another time I was in another washroom, well I was not peeing, with my pants on,
and she came in again.

I used to attend a boarding school at Conneticut. During Easter, I took the train to visit my parents in Toronto. When I was going back to US, I forgot my passport, and the only proof I had were my school uniform and some books from the library.

Fortunately, with my braces and glasses I looked just another geeky Chinese girl to them. 😌
(Note: The Canada-US border was pretty loose during that time.)

At Niagara Falls, the US Immigration and Custom Officer did not detain me but got very annoyed. I remembered he scolded angrily,"Don't let me see you again! Now get out of my face!" :angryfire

hmm have to think...dumbest moment was when i went to see a soccer match of my local club called emmen. I was on time and i arrived and seeing that its really quiet and i still think it was that day. So i waited an half hour.........the match did start alrite just a day later at the same time.

Speaking of skiing, I was in line for a ski lift in Vail, and it was a bit icy. So the line started to move, and I went with it, but I lost control and fell flat on my butt. I somehow managed to hurt my thumb in the fall (as well as bend the ski pole), but it wasn't hurt nearly as badly as my ego. :( I don't think that I'll ever forget the looks on the other people's faces, which seemed to be saying "what kind of idiot wipes out in the line for the ski lift?!" 😊

Let's see ... the only situation that comes to mind right now happened about a year ago. I had just started working for a law firm and was working late one evening when I discovered that I couldn't decipher one of the attorney's notes to me about an assignment. It said, "F/U with client." Now, keep in mind I was running on burnout at the time and my mind was fried (that's my defense, and I'm stickin' to it! :p ), so for the life of me, I couldn't make sense out of "F/U!" There was another attorney working late that night, so I decided to ask him what he thought. Only I didn't say, "F slash U." Instead, I asked him if he knew what the other attorney might have meant by "FU"! He looked up from his desk and we both burst out laughing!! laugh.gif And then I added, "Yeah, and whatever it is, he wants me to do it with a client. I don't think they pay me enough for that!!" At which point, we laughed even harder. The next day I told the other attorney about it. He thought it was hilarious, and kept repeating, "It's 'follow up'! It's 'follow up'!" Now, whenever I see "F/U" written, I can't help but be reminded of that evening! :p Fortunately, most of the office knew that I was merely too burned out at the time to "get it," but it did provide some humor for everyone for a while. :p

This isn't about anything I've done, but it is quite a funny story about a dumb thing that someone else did. About 20 years ago while working for a law firm in Denver, one of our investigators told me about something that had happened to a friend of hers named Jeff. Jeff worked for the Public Defender's office, and he represented a 13-year-old kid who had been charged with robbing a 7-11 one night. Believe it or not, the kid actually had brains enough to keep his mouth shut through the police interrogation and until the time his lawyer (Jeff) arrived. Well, they get to the preliminary hearing, and the D.A. had the convenience store clerk on the witness stand, and he asked her, "Is the person who held up the 7-11 on such and such date in this courtroom today?" But before she could respond, the kid jumped up from his seat with his hand raised and said, "Present!" Jeff was sitting next to him, yanking on the kid's shirttail and mumbling underneath his breath, "Sit down, you little son-of-a-*****! Sit down!" Just what he needed--an admission of guilt at the prelim! :p

Anyone else have some more to share?

I've done something silly by accident recently....not dumb though....

I licked a dog tongue to tongue....slight touch at the tip....haha....... 😊

i think the dumbest thing i have ever done was last week- i fully sucked up to a girl.

there was a group of us and the convo went like this:

me: hey girl 1 did you dye your hair?

girl 1: yeah I did

me: its look really nice

girl 1: aww thanks!

girl 2: Hey did you notice my hair, i had it colured as well?

me: no I didn't, but thats because your hair always looks gorgeous!

anyway i was like hitting my head thinking "you idiot! why did you do that? you don't even like her"

i have never done anything like that before and never again will i.

Two days ago ... in a chilly evening , saw a reaaaaaaaaaally cute boy whom has helped me before to figure out the line I should take at the station. Our eyes meet walking against each other , under the beautiful moon-lit night . He smiles at me , and I go on saying as loud as ever..
"Ohayou Gozaimasu!!"
.... doshite ... doshite .... DOOOSHITEEE??!!!!!!

(Ohayou Gozaimasu is said only in the morning , it only happens that I have taken my first lesson on greetings and stuff on that day ..)
