Pachipro, you have trapped yourself into a circle. You claim that "those are just writings and people saying such and such" and that you would like to see an independent picture from an independent source. It's almost like saying the sky is green and then refusing to look up. Well, who is to say you won't come back and state "those are just faked, photo shopped pictures. I want to go up there and see it myself!" And then after that say, "Well, they put that flag there, as well as those boot marks there, and those mirrors, all in advance of my arrival so I would think it happened 40 some odd years ago!"
This statement makes no sense to me Half-n-Half as if someone told me the sky was green and I looked up and saw that it was green then I would have solid proof and there would be no further need for any more discussion on the matter. Case closed. The same with independent, verifiable, proof of the moon landings. Case closed. Until then I will stand by my skepticism, while not fully doubting it as I have not done the research. Writings and 40 year old pictures mean nothing as I know from experience how the government propaganda machine operates. And if if the government says such and such is true and it is taught in schools, people like you, as I did myself, will believe it and will usually not question it further, but take it as fact because the government said so and my teachers said so.
However, once one does some independent research on the subject (or any subject fo that matter) in order prove the skeptics wrong, one comes away with a different viewpoint and begins to wonder that, hmmm, maybe what all we have been taught and told is not true or why would these people with decent reputations put their careers on the line to debunk it?
Just to prove I am not completely against the landing on the moon, and do look at all sides, take a look, if you will, at this web site as this man believes wholehartedly that we did land on the moon and has done exhaustive research on the subject to prove himself right and written many books, all of which I have read. Once you have read his website completely, as I have, you will see that I am not a complete skeptic and conspiracy nut, but do look at all viewpoints. (In the case of the moon landings I have not done much research into the theory that we did not land there.) However, I wonder if you will take the time to read all of his website as it will probably take a year or more. His theories are good, which is why I am "on the fence" as I have said. Still I want independent pictures and proof.
(The website is full of info and may be slow to load. Be patient and read! Especially what he has to say about Mars and the othert planets. Part of his theory is that, based on pictures and other evidence, he believes there are monuments on the moon and that it was once, and may still be, inhabited. No comment from me on this.)
Do you not think, then, that perhaps you are a little bias when it comes to these matters? Do you believe in conspiracy theories because of the fact that they are conspiracies, no matter the evidence to support them? Have you ever stepped back from it all and thought that, just for once, a conspiracy theory is not true?
I think that most people who believe in conspiracy theories, especially ones about the Apollo moon landings, believe in those theories because it is fun. It's fun to wonder if there is some big secret the government is hiding from us that we can discover. It's fun to go against the grain and be argumentative. It sure beats going to a 9-5 job every day.
No, I do not believe I am a little biased when it comes to these matters as I look at them as "where there is smoke, there must be fire somewhere." I have found doubt in all conspiracies on both sides and very much enjoy doing the research and finding out for myself.
Unfortunately, my research usually leans towards the side of the conspiriatorialists as they have better research and many cannot completely debunk them. That's what makes it fun. And it is always fun to debate people like yourself who have NOT done the research into both sides, but take as gospel whatever they are taught and/or told on the news and then try to tell others that they are wrong. Then (and this is NOT aimed at you) they get their panties in a wad when they are faced with questions and doubt about what they have been taught. Do the research into the other side, then we can have common grounds of debate.
Because most people in the world, especially those scientists running the cameras, have no doubt we landed on the moon. Why waste one of those "highest resolution camera" pictures to prove a point most people agree on, only to have moon landing conspiracy loonies plug their ears and sing?
C'mon now you really can't be serious can you? Why waste the hi-res cameras to prove that the most significant achievement in human history was not a hoax because "they have no doubt we landed on the moon."? Surely you jest. The simple answer would be to shut up people like myself once and for all!
I see Half-n-Half that you are only 19 years old. I am nearly 3 times your age. You have not even entered the work force or had a mortgage or a real job or even realized how corrupt and despicable your own government is as they have lied to you and me forever and continue doing it. Hell, you have not even paid any real taxes yet or struggled to eke out a life so I will cut you some slack. However, I feel that you will surely change your tune as you age and struggle to make a life for yourself in this crazy world of ours which will be much tougher than the world I lived in and I feel for you as in the future (like now) people will be slaves of the state and do what they are told without question.
Most people do change their tune as they age and learn the truth about how things really are. Your experience in this world and these things is equivalent to a pimple on a gnats butt. Minute and not very expansive.
But, and this scares me, somehow I believe you are the product of our "Dumbed down" educational system that "they" have for the past 40 years tried so hard to implement and may just have succeeded. (Yes it is another "conspiracy" I have delved into and learned that it is more truth than fiction.) If you care to learn you can read the book
"the deliberate dumbing down of america" a sad but true chronology of what has transpired in our educational system where students are taught not to think independently, but to take as fact whatever they are taught. (If your e-mail can handle it I can send you a copy in PDF as it is 11MB). Heck, you can probably still get it for free at the authors website. Read some of the reviews in the link and tell me I am off base.
You have a lot to learn Half-n-Half and I do hope you do not stick to your beliefs that what you have been taught is the truth and will do your own research for, if you do believe it, we are finished as a country and I am glad I will not be alive when you are my age and saying, "what? Maybe Pachipro was right way back when, but now it's too late." Open your ears and eyes and NEVER believe what you are told.
Until you have read the hundreds of books I have or done the hundreds of hours of research I have done, please do not tell me that you know more than I do or that I am wrong for, if you know me, when I am wrong I freely admit it and it is based on undeniable, verifiable truth. I've just learned to never believe what I have been taught as I so naively believed in the past. It took me a while to finally wake up, but wake up I did. I just hope people your age do the same.
