Yes, that is true. Even though yaoi isn't really targeted to the homosexual male audience. I'm sure yuri is the same way. I think. :?

Nope, yaoi isn't targeted to the homosexual male audience. It's originally a girls only manga genre, but now a lot of guys read it to - gay guys AND straight guys. (I only know of one straight guy who likes yaoi... )
Everyone should like it - but I can understand that yaoi wouldn't be too exhilarating if you're a straight guy... I feel like that about yuri. I mean, yuri is cute sometimes, but I don't read it often and it's definitely not my obsession...

i like both - shonen-ai and some hardcores because both of them are good
i really liked shonen-ai when i was 16-17 it was a lot better for me than classic yaoi
i still like it now, but i'm so fond of shonen-ai (like then when i was younger)

Yay Pinkkiller ! Shonen-ai ! It's just.. sometimes the yaoi is... as you said... a little too hardcore and it just gets a little overly exaggerated. Shonen-ai is cute. Especially when they hold hands. Or hug. Or blush. Or even kiss. But... the holding hands is my favourite right now. (or the kissing) <--- can't decide. Pointless...

*dead* how could I forget!!? When they lean in close on eachother... *dancing* That's just.. great! Oh, oh, and they are supposed to be different personalities too, like, one of them dark and tough, and the other mild and weak.. or something.. Or one of them younger or shorter than the other... *dead*

The best thing about shonen ai is that they DON'T do the nasty things, but you can tell they WANT to... *evil giggle* Like when they a l m o s t kiss, but don't.. and stuff. The attraction between the characters is often very obvious, but they sort of... keep in partly hidden.. Soo good!

If you're gonna do a shonen ai comic, you HAVE to make the characters blush and lean over eachother a LOT ! XDD That's all that's needed to make a good series.. XD
Will you make it a 'real-people-cast' ... like... with jrockers? *sparkly eyes* Or.. anime characters? *sparkly eyes*
Almost lucky I can't draw... I don't even wanna think about whay my comics would be including if I ever could make my own yaoi pictures.. *blush*

I think it's the anticipation that make shonen-ai so much more interesting and fasciating... like you said... it's the fact that they almost that makes you die a little inside... hahaha

What I think is wrong is the fact that you girls like the concept of two guys kissing. Jesus H. Christ on a popcicle stick that's just plain sick!
