BLEACH or NARUTO?

i stayed up the whole night and started watching bleach until episode 14 in one sitting.. my eyes will go blind soon.. can't stop ne. thanx to elanor for making this thread or i'll probably miss Bleach & thx to ronin for telling me that i could just download instead of buying bleach is nice & interesting but then my fav ever anime will still be kenshin that'll be hard to replace for me.

Haha, Kenshin is still my favorite too. Great storyline, great characters, actual historical events, and best of all...SAMURAI !

Aaaaaaand, another plus about downloading Bleach: you get to see it before america and cartoon network get their grubby hands on it like they did Naruto and every other anime.

And 14 episodes in one sitting isn't that bad Rika I watched 17 episodes in one go when I finally got my hands on them from my friend. And I've had already read all of what happens in manga form... Still couldn't stop myself from watching. =P

I havne't seen the Cartoon Network version of Naruto (and never will if I can help it) but I've heard they censored it. CENSORED NARUTO??? NARUTO??? what. There was talk about there being "too much gore."

I usually see between 5 and 10 episodes of Bleach or Naruto in one go.

And OF COURSE they censored naruto! It's frikkin cartoon network! Cussing taken out entirely, and blood taken out to the point of being ridiculous. For instance, Naruto's sexy no jutsu causes nose bleeds in the manga and anime...yet...THEY CUT OUT THE NOSE BLEEDS ON CARTOON NETWORK! It just shows a stream of white wooshes coming from the nose, and then when it's done the little tissues stuffed up the nostrils! It's ridiculous how much they take out! They show the sexy no jutsu yet they can't show a nose bleed?! what?! :auch: Oh and did i mention the actors who dubbed over the characters totally SUCK? Especially Naruto and Kakashi...

Well...Bleach is addicting...and coupled with my lack of a life, i get through anime pretty fast. Usually between 5 and 10 episodes a day. I just started watching Bleach this week, if you guys recall, and i just now finished episode 59.

I know...i have no life whatsoever...

I haven't read the Bleach manga, only watched the show...come to think of it, i need to catch up on all the series i was reading: Ranma 1/2, Outlaw Star, FMA, One Piece, Hellsing (and yes, all online).

Episode 63 kinda disappointed me....well, the first half anyway. I woulda figured they'd put two episodes into one, like naruto does...but they didn't. So i just skipped the first half.

That was a doozy of a plot twist they had though, i can't wait for the arc!

Being an American, Bleach is <<not>> available here except for the Jump manga, which are really behind on the story... me, I can't wait until the cyberangels finish the english translation and fill the world with the latest (I guess) episode of Bleach.

I read the latest chapters of Naruto in Shonen Jump USA but find that I am really put out trying to associate the English voices with the animation. I don't think I would like a Bleach with voice-overs, either, I find the voices have grown on me. Ichi-GO!!!

Well, I guess the two of them can be compared to one another, since they both play with the idea of a supernatural, modern, edo-esque warrior theme (ninjas, in the case of Naruto, and samurais, in the case of Bleach) and they also are action-dramas.

Naruto is the neo-DBZ. For standard and beginner anime fans that really holds no meaning, but for people that have seen more than just Evangelion, and have seen several animes that is an insult. Naruto is repeatitive, and has obnoxious fillers all over. On top of that, when things get interesting, Naruto comes in and it no longer becomes attractive.

Is there a situation that doesn't boil down to Naruto? Yes, sure, point out that "Naruto" is the name of the show, but hell, from the moment a seemingly opponent is placed against Naruto you know that no matter how many times Naruto gets his *** kicked, the nine-tailed fox comes out, and he just beats the opponent. And that's that.

I started watching Naruto when it was around episode 25 or so, and dropped it after episode 120-ish after learning my lesson the hard way. Then again, as I explained before, amateurs that know no better can enjoy the show perfectly.

As far as Bleach goes, I'm up to 77, and I must say I fear for its future; I fear it might become the next Naruto. Right now the series is taking a deteour from what appeared to be the main plot that was really getting interesting, but I guess that's unavoidable.

Only time will tell.

bleach is good. i have watched from the beginning when i used to live in the UK. it has gotten a little poor recently though. i liked the stuff in SOul Society more than this current development. I want them to get hold of Aizen and have a huge battle! hopefully, well, probably, these "Bount's" should lead the way to Aizen. also, the guys in SOul Society seem to be researching something strange which could be interesting.

we'll just have to wait n see

This is the same as Ninja Versus Samurai. We all know Samurai's kick ***. Sorry, but I just don't see much happening with the Naruto world other than the main storyline. I disliked all the filler episodes after Sasuke ran off with Orochimaru.

Now on the other hand, Bleach pulled off a good 20 episode filler arc between the Soul Society arc and the Vaizard/Arrancar arc. I loved it, can you say the same for lolnaruto?

hey, the new episodes of bleach (120 and later) are also nothing but filler. getting really bored of it, but overall i still prefer bleach over naruto.

When it comes to fillers Naruto is still miles ahead of Bleach, but in my opinion of the two protagonists Ichigo is less annoying, fed up with Naruto "I ar savez Gaara arrggh" mania, its so damn annoying after a while. So yeha i vote for Bleach
