Hi, last time to Japan for me was 2017. From 2007 to 2017 I visited ten times, three times as a backpacker using JR pass, the next seven times with one of my bicycles and touring Japan by bicycle. Over time on bicycles I rode 25000+ klms visiting sites of interest (castles , traditional towns and villages, museums). Had planned on coming back a number of times but so many things got in the way,Covid outbreak being one of them. Now aged 72 and in need of fitness regime I'd like at least one more cycling tour to see more of Kyushu,Shikoku and Hokkaido (I have travelled these previously). This is the link to one of many maps I've made of Japan trips. Japan Castles and Forts - Google My Maps

If you missed it, the sister website of this one is www.tokyocycle.com -- and tho it has tokyo in the name, there are people from other parts of japan, or who sometimes travel to those other parts. (and they're friendly group of people)

Good luck!

I have often thought of renaming TCC to JCC. ;)
