Yeah, though it seems for an american women generalization that Ive heard from my foreign friends is that US women, seem to be more plastic surgery then whats natural though.

Don't get me started on the superficialness of women in this country on plastic surgery. I get so sick and tired of women complain about the size of their breasts, *ahem*, and other little thing they can b**** about with their looks. It's as bad as a man complaining about the size of his penis. Let's face it folks deep down we like bigger things. All of us like to have bigger breasts or penises(no matter what country you're from). It means furtility in our primitive brain. However, we are also complex beings. Women don't need bigger breasts, and men don't need a bigger penis unless they're shallow. I just wish people would realize that and be happy with what they got.

I find it utterly disgusting and unglorifying. It truly shows the pathetic excuse of people in society that will do anything for their image.

I also thought the airing of these shows was very socially irresponsible (even more so than usual) on the behalf of the networks. Next they're going to encourage women to vomit after every meal?

Yeah, Who really cares if a women getting implants, or something. I noticed some shows are showing the surgery to the world. Thats gross, and revolting.

Yes, well that what happens when you live in a society where people define beauty by the woman on the magazine cover. People these days are more and more insecure with their looks. We can make fifty year old woman look like she's twenty five, but we can't cure the common cold. This is what our society has come to. All in the name of vanity!!!

Well I think high maintance and a healthy living is important (exercise and look your best), but I think living in a society driven entirely on vanity is just going way too far in my opinion.

Did anyone hear about the recent beauty contest in China, exclusively for women who had cosmetic surgery? Many of them were quite young too.
Times are certainly changing - there is a lot of pressure to look good these days.

Well, I'm a woman, but I think breast implants are ugly too. Naturally, each breast is not the exact same size, breasts are not perfect circles, they are not hard as rocks, and nipples do not point to the sky. It looks ridiculous. It also looks bad when you can actually see the outline of the implant. Who thinks that looks good?

I think it could work that way too. I know I used to think I'd like to have some lipo done, but after seeing it done on different TV programs, I dont want to do it anymore... I'll do it the hard way, thank you.

no, these woman need to know, that a minority suggests them big b**bs are desireable.

personally, i desire little breasts as natural, even more attractive.
if to express desire, this is not necessary all day, all time.
but for real, i would guess, other man feel this way too, and this is not a minority.

Having plastic surgery is not magic. Look at the people who keep on having plastic surgery. They keep thinking if they had this done, they would be happy. Didn't work. I have a friend who is saving up to have her breasts reduced, as they give her back pains and is not looking forward to having them 'somewhere arounf her navel' (her words) when she is in her forties. In some cases having a boob job for some girls is a way for them to gain self confidence. I know women who would like bigger boobs, but don't really want the surgery so they remain as they are. I have one friend who would love surgery for bigger boobs, but her husband keeps telling her that he is satisfied with them, but she does suffer form low esteem on occassions. I do find these reality shows that show people going through plastic surgery a revolting though. I don't really want to share in someone elses neurosis about their bodies. The media doesn't help by plastering pictures of bronzed perfect bodies everywhere. This can affect people and doesn't help the increase in weight problems in young people, women especially.
I think the shrinks and the plastic surgeons have got togther in a conspiracy to change people into a uniform race of non-people, or am I getting paranoid?

Dude you So lost it
I don't see too much a problem with plastic surgery but I also feel that there should be a few consultations with a shrink in order to find the need for this type of surgery. If a shrink feels the person having the surgery is mentally stable and has definitive reason for it then so be it. I don't think people should be allowed to have surgery just for the hell of it. Breast reductions OK, breast enlargement for "work" related purposes ok, the world says you suck so now you want to look better through plastic surgery DENIED.
