Hello!
I've come across the following sentences recently:
Is 暇 an adjective modifying the subject 明日 in the first sentence?
Is 暇 being used substantively, i.e. as a noun, in the second sentence?
Does this explain the use of copula versus あります?
Thank you!
I've come across the following sentences recently:
明日暇だったら、京都へ行きませんか。
皆さん、暇があったら、是非東京へ遊びに来てください。
I'm wondering about 暇 used with the copula in the first sentence, and 暇 used with あります in the second. Is 暇 an adjective modifying the subject 明日 in the first sentence?
Is 暇 being used substantively, i.e. as a noun, in the second sentence?
Does this explain the use of copula versus あります?
Thank you!
