になろうと言った and になると言った

Do you know the difference between なる and なろう? Between なります and なりましょう?

こんにちは。

I am just going to assume "he" as the speaker in these sentences.

For the first one, "He said it will or shall become."

For the second one, "He said it will or does become."

The thing here is that you need to know what the volitional form means. The nuance it adds when used. As well as the meaning and nuance of the dictionary form.

In short the volitional form shows just that...volition. It shows your intention more strongly.

The plain form just states something or states something happens regularly, as in a pattern.

This is just a short explanation and I could be wrong. I encourage you to study about the volitional form.

Hope I could help. じゃ、また。
