I asked this on yahoo answers japan, and asked for an explanation the explanations I got were kind of different so I'm assuming this type of phrase has several means

Someone said that with to suru , it means the very reason and alone it means kind of like " its only natura to dol"

example - かれらがそうしたとしても、まったくおかしくない
They have every reason to do it
He has every reason to ask. 彼がたずねたとしてもおかしくない

Another person responed with something like "wonder/shouldnt wonder" for example

I shouldn't wonder if he becomes famous.
彼が有名になっても、おかしくない

I shouldn't wonder if she hasn't missed the train.
彼女が、乗り遅れたって、おかしくない


Are both of them right in there translations, this is a funny phrase im not familiar with, but it seems to be used quite a bit. Is there something I should try to associate this type of phrase with in english?

～（とし）ても is a kind of conditional, so ～（とし）てもおかしくない basically means "it's natural/understandable if~". The nuance of the sentence depends on the context, thus, かれらがそうしたとしても、まったくおかしくない can also mean "I shouldn't wonder if they do it", for instance.

The last example should be "I shouldn't wonder if she has missed the train".

Every reason is more like "XXX ni ha juubunna konkyo ga aru" implying a good enough basis or sufficient justification in English which is different (or can be) and adds a more positive nuance than not unusual/mysterious, natural etc.
