Hey, guys, I have a problem.
Using Lang-8, I posted a phrase:
ボブは宿題をやります。それで贈り物を得ました. -> Bob does the homework, that's why he got gifts.
But an user didn't understand and said the correct thing is:
ボブは、宿題をやりました。
というのは、プレゼントを貰ったからです。
I really didn't want to separate the phrases and I really didn't understand why he used 貰ったからです. I tried to ask him if I could use 貰いしたからです but he said "no".
At the same time I don't know why から is in the sentence.
Can anyone explain all this stuff to me, please?
