@sool: Is this your first time taking the test too? Me too..I didn't put high hope for this..:? I guess it depends on luck after this...I'm 55, at the 3rd row...169 is quite far from my seat. I didn't know any candidates there. but, it's nice to meet someone here..
@marichan: yes, my first time sitting for the test. 55? hmm....i thought there are only 5 research applicants, it seems not now. When I received the email notification for the test, there are only 5 recipients, and when I entered the auditorium and checked out for my seat, I saw that there are 5 numbers, 166 to 170 were greyed out, wonder what's that mean...

when you receive your email, don't you see all the recipient in the "to" address list? I do. My email notification was not only sent to me alone, it's a bulk email. How many recipient in your email ?

no, i was not in the grayed area... i noticed that applicants in grayed area didn't sit for the japanese test (mostly, if my memory serves me right). I think the grayed area maybe indicated no japanese language background (guess)
Headaches for III, I don't really have good english. I am quite worry about the result since we didn't know the passing mark. Put in this way, there is 2 possibles scenario,
I) if the interview quota is limited, for instance 50, then they will choose the best 50 among us, which means they don't have any passing mark. The best will be choose. I am surely will not be selected.
II) if they have a passing mark, for instance 80/100, which means anyone who scored higher than 80 will be selected for interview, it could be 100 or 150 applicants, no limit. Then perhaps I will have chance to go for interview.
I hope the selection can be second scenario.

are you saying that you are estimating your score to be 80-100? that's very good, I think I will score about 60%. 80% is good enough to be selected for both scenarios. you dont have to worry.

In what area do you choose for your postgraduate study? I didn't sit for japanese language test as I didn't have any basic in japanese:sorry: .
@ming2399: to me, the test is quite tough...I'm also expecting the format would be like 2010 paper. but, it wouldn't
I did not know what advice should be given as I'm taking the exam for the first time. I just think we must have strong command in English. My English command is just an average
@noys88: same as me. Do you apply for postgraduate too?
yup.hoping to continue my master in horticulture or agriculture related field.

i just wanted to tell you that i got the acceptance of one professor in osaka university, and he said that he would accept me if i pass the examinations ((i think he meant the embassy examinations..right?))
but i still have a problem is that i dont know whether i should put single or married as i'm engaged and will get married next year (i guess)...

hi sool, i hope i can get 80 and above but i don't expect myself to get 80-100... just giving the rough idea... honestly, if i can get such marks, i won't be so worry right now... i am thinking for alternative to pursue my master now...
waiting? you've applied before it? I tried to contact supervisor before but what can they offer to me just "a place to study", no financial support...
