This is the kind of nonsense people believe after having seen the film Shogun . Actually the average japanese does not live according to bushido or samurai ideals.

I am not saying that no japanes feel shame, but I say it is nonsense to generalize this kind of old-fasioned bushido culture to explain how japanese are behaving today. It is really stereotypical nonsense!
