From those statistics, it looks like foreign coupling is still strongest in Japanese-Asian relationships, and that all types of these couplings are increasing in time, I think as would be expected...
I'm incorrect in saying there was "no evidence...", but I think that I'm just trying to debunk the idea that somehow there is a "trend" that is on the rise of Western men desiring Japanese women, and I don't know how one can relate this to anything except changing social mores.
If I see more black men dating white women, I don't say, that it is becoming more popular for black men to date white women, but that the social acceptance of this is changing, and the more that this happens in society, the more society begins to see it, and accept it.
