Traveling To Japan

I have been to Japan once, it was on October 29~November 12, 2005.
Since I visited Japan by NOT joining any tour program, so I couldn't travel much during that time. Most of time I just stayed in Iwakuni (since my friend's apartment located there), there's nothing to see there in Iwakuni except "Kintaikyo" bridge, there is even no university or amusement park there and Iwakuni is really a village part in Yamaguchi pref
But I visited Tokyo for a few days, and went to Disneyland (too crowded, waw!! ) and Roppongi hills, Asakusa Sensouji temple, Tokyo Tower also Akihabara. Also Kyoto (Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji & Kiyomizudera, only 1 day visiting, not enough time!!! :auch: ), and Hiroshima (Memorial Park, Miyajima, it's wonderful!! )
Anyway, I'm still expecting to revisit Japan, hope that I can try to stay there for some period someday (probably around 1 year for trial stay 1st), hahaha. But ... who's gonna support me to stay there???
 
haven't been there, but i hope someday in the future... that's my dream
 
I've never been to Japan, but ofcourse, like the majority here, I intend to go there some day.
It might be just a dream, especially considering how expensive I've heard it is.
But it sure sounds like it could be fun.
If I could go there to study the culture, then it would be catching two birds with one stone.
The ainu sounds very interesting, too bad I hate snow
 
I can't WAIT to visit Japan (never been, of course)...only problem is, I can't decide where it is I want to stay!
 
i have never ever bin there =( ... but in these holiday's I will =D
 
I've been to japan for 2 months and a few days.

I will never speak ill of crowded commuter trains again, not when compared to the horrors of those enclosed motorways without basic rest stops until your on the other side of tokyo, well out in the country, by which time youve already had to pee in a bush (not that theres many).

Basically if your going to japan, dont drive if you need to use motorways alot, especially in and around tokyo, just take the train.
Though chances are most with the dream to go dont have a license....or even the right to vote, some probably arent even legally allowed to die for their country yet. ☝
 
Just got back from one year of Japanese high school in Nagasaki and Fukuoka
 
relationship with Japan

Been there once. I stayed for 8 days for training. I really loved the place.
 
I've had two relatively short trips to Japan
The first time I went just to Tokyo and Kyoto, then when I returned I went to
Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Osaka (with day trips to Kobe and Nara). I really enjoyed all of it.
I will definately return - maybe this year, I don't know.
I have a friend from Hokkaido who's BF has a photography gallery there, so maybe I will visit there next. And I've still got to visit those whirlpools at Tokushima.
It makes so much difference if you have a contact there, which will bring a greater level of understanding to your visit, especially if you travel alone.

If you told me a couple of years ago that I would visit Japan I would not have believed it. I had never travelled alone before, but I really wanted to go and didn't want to wait around until one of my friends wanted to.

I met an American guy with his wife on the train to Osaka, and he was on his 15th visit! - so maybe there will be more adventures in Japan to come for me.
 
Been there for 2 weeks at the beginning of this year (2006).
Enough to totally follow in love with the place and the people, i am looking forward to go back, and possibly to move there for some time next year.

I was really impress with the politeness of the people in general, and also by the fact that public transport really works !!
I totally redefine the concept i had about timetables, been Italian and having leaved half of my life in London i really thought that trains timetables were there just to give you a rough idea, i didn't know that trains could actually stick by their due time !!
 
i guess you could say that my relationship with japan is that i HAVE no relationship but desperately want to ; - ; I think japan and i should start going out.
 
That would be soooo cool to get there!!! May be one day... Well, actually it's quite possible, depends on how much you want it

Ever been to Tokyo in year 2004 as a tourist, roughly 1 week.
I like this place, modern city with nation culture in the same time.
Which make me feel interesting & exciting.
I wish to extend my days in Tokyo, but too bad it is under peak season.
Do really wish if I have a chances to live in Japan AT LEAST a month.
It will be brilliant to me.
Of course, A month in Japan will spend me a lots of money for Sightseing, Sushi, Manga, beside of PS Games.
Is there any shortcut to live in Japan? lolx.
Don't ask me to marry a Japanese Honey, although I wish to do so
My friends' wife is a Japanese, advise given is that - Expensive!
 
hello I'm new here,anyway I've grown up in Japan, but don't live there anymore,my mother it's japanise but my father come back in his country(Italy)so we follow him(of course...that's family)
 
I'd like to go to Japan to work as an IT engineer. Well... at least go and SEE what it's like to work over there. I don't know if I'd like to stay there for a longer period (unless it would be on a tourist basis), I heard too many stories about karoshi 'n other ugly things
 
I've been interested in japanese culture for a long time, and finally i think i will be able to go this summer!!!!

I have some friends in tokyo, so i'm sure they'll show me around everywhere and we'll have a blast!
 
i plan on going to japan in about 2 years. by that time i will have my basics done in college and i can be an exchange student!
 
I'm planning to visit Japan after I graduate but I might have a chance to study abroad there in two years.
 
I havent been to Japan but I would love to go!!! Actually Im planning a trip for next summer Im really excited and Im currently studing japanese, who knows....maybe I can live there in the future *ok I know I like to dream*
 
I havn't been there yet. Me and my boyfriend plan on going to either Kyoto or Tokyo after we get out of school.:haihai:
