This thread is similer to the "Bummer & Rant" thread, only more specific. Everyone likes to hate their boss or the person who controls them it seems. I am lucky and only go to the office on Fridays, but that is usually enough for them to give me a bit of grief. I tried for 2 weeks the end of December to schedual a yearly review, and got nowhere. Friday the boss saw me and gave me the devil for not setting up one before year end, UGH!!
How about you, got a boss who is a pain - - explain!

My boss is great. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy. In fact, I get along well with everyone at work.

OH OH, he must be a JREF member, LOL. I get the feeling a boss who crossed you might get caught between the back of your truck and the loading dock, "by accident".

I had a boss who, if you looked up the word "evil" in the dictionary, his picture would be with the definition.

Bosses like that, fortunately, are few and far between. He pulled some totally unethical shenanigans on a number of people. But as the old saying goes, "don't get mad, get even." I did, and got his butt terminated with the state attorney general and district attorney breathing down his neck.

Eventually, he ended up with terminal cancer.

My boss is a Southern Baptist preacher on the side. That's funny, because he is one of the most touchy-feely, flirtatious, bathed-in-cologne people I know. He's also a boisterous smartass. Thank goodness he doesn't come around that often....

My boss is great-supports me in whatever I want to do and bends over backwards to keep me happy.

My ex-boss disappeared about 2 weeks ago without a notice to anyone in the company; he also left a big pile of crap for us to take care of.

One of the chefs (I have about four bosses one for each cooking area) was argueeing with another cook. I was standing next to him about to ask a question and the argueement got hotter. Both of them started talking with the hands which wouldn't have been so bad aside from the chef was holding a sheet pan. There was a loud 'CLANGE!' as the sheet pan hit me square in the face. The chef looked at me holding my very sore nosie and just turn back to the other cook and started argueeing again! The jerk never said sorry or waited to answer my question.

WELL......

I'm in school still>.<

I guess you could say a teacher or assistant principal or principal is a type of boss. Heck, in school , a school bully is kind of a boss, LOL.

As an Assistant Principal, I am the most middle of middle management. My boss the principal is good to work with, but sometimes... The people at the DO I could definitely live without. One lady lectured me for two and a half hours about some crates of papers that I was in charge of. Finally I told her that I wasn't "married to any of this crap. Just tell me how to fix it." She never really gave me any direction or answer and their "report" that made me look retarded was sent to everyone in management. I worked on those dang boxes for four days during my Christmas Break and when I got back, they took me off the project.

I kinda have 2 bosses... one, the more senior, who used to be my direct manager until he recently got promoted... he's still my 'top' manager but I'm now line managed by someone a bit more junior than him... they are both pretty nice and laid-back... I can get away with more from the less senior one though, hehe... :haihai: The other one is still nice but he has authority in bucketloads. 😆
