WOW! Had a small earthquake here in southern Maine.

Pretty rare to have a quake you can feel. My house shook for about 15 seconds and I knew it was a quake. My wife insisted it was just a big truck going by. Be interesting to see if a 4.1 quake did any damage near the center.

I felt it, too, although here in Boston it wasn't much to speak of (at least that was my opinion). Apparently my wife was in a Zoom meeting with colleagues in Cambridge, and she saw them all stand up in bewilderment. LOL

According to the USGS, Monday morning's earthquake originated about seven miles off the southeast coast of York Harbor, Maine.

York Harbor is about 30 miles north of the Massachusetts border.

Light shaking from the earthquake was felt as far south as Cape Cod, according to the USGS, though some people in Rhode Island also reported feeling the earthquake.
