how many gf / bf you have had?

I'm 20 years old and never had a girlfriend so I can relate to you Ma Cherie. Like I stated earlier in this thread, I get teased from time to time about it, but to be honest I really don't care. My education and making something of myself at an early age for a head start in my career of choice is more important to me right now than anything else. Besides how can you support you and your lover/partner/etc. when you can't even support yourself? See what I mean? To a lot of girls I seem very cold and distant, but it's because I want to make something of myself. Dating is fun, but so is life in general. So the question is which is more fun and important: dating or life? For me, I choose life.
Good point. I agree. I can't support myself, and I really don't think I'm ready to get into a relationship right now.. I have enough caring about my life as it is, no room for a 'second' person.. エ

Besides... love is overrated. 😌

You people have sex anywhere don't you?!:D
What? No... what would make you believe that? We're only Swedes, that's all! 😌

I could support myself. I've brainwashed myself with education to make myself a cold and distant person. Education really didn't do it for me. Society did. However the case, i'm still able to handle relationships. I could support me and my girlfriend at age 18 which I am now. But truly, why must the man completely support the woman? That's kind of silly. The woman must also be strong to support herself. I wouldn't date a woman who is a gold digger/leech. I've already made something of myself through having a reason to learn. I always searched for a meaning and found wanting to blow up the world a good reason. That's why I'm good at bio-chemistry, locksmithing, and a bit of pyrotechnics. I only do long distance dating though. So I guess you could say I don't have an official girlfriend. But me and her plan on moving in together in a few months. I've never been kissed, hugged, or had sex with another female though.

Now a days, i try to prevent other young people from falling behind in life by guiding them through highschool. I like being a light in the dark cave for people.

I don't think a lot of people understand how a real relationship works anymore. Society has become morally corrupt. Reliant on sex and other sensual activities. Relationships are suppose to be about teamwork and trust.
Two teens could support one another by working together at college and at a job site. Think about it. Two teens taking the same college classes and being able to work at the same job site. If they were to team up in academic subjects and advance through the corporation/job they would rake in more money and earn a degree with good grades in all of thier classes.

It's about teamwork and trust.

Love isn't overrated. Love is dangerous.

Falling in love makes you weak. The more weak you are, the easier it is for you to fall behind in life. If the person you are dating tries to hold you back, and screws you over by beating you against a wall and throwing glass objects at a door so you can't leave it, then you really shouldn't be dating them. If you haven't had enough relationship experience to help an emotionally unstable person, then perhaps you should look for someone else to date. Dating certain type of people bring you down. What's sad is that people are looking for love and yet, each time they look, they only lose parts of themselves because they gave up love for another. I think that's how a relationship brings a person down the most. Sacrificing your mind for the other. Not just doing things for them, but sacrificing your sanity by putting up with mind games. However, there are some mature people out there one can date and they are good people.

That's why a person should really be friends with a girl way before they start dating them. What's sad is that most people don't have enough relationship experience that they don't know what to look for and if they know what they are looking for, they don't know how to keep it once they have it. The other problems is not knowing how to find it. The more relationship experience you have, the better you will be able to find the one for you.

That's why people need to find a partner who is going to be a teammate and a real partner with them. People should try to remember the word partner and what it means. Partners in love. Love is dangerous though. That's just my opinion though. And i'm american. So lyke i hav t3h voice?!!!!!oneoneone

I agree. You're right about love being dangerous. It does make people weak, and vulnerable. I think I have a problem with those feelings, and I have a problem seing people act that way. Love makes a lot of people act in stupid ways, showing desperation as an example. Seing people as weak as that makes me get an uneasy feeling. Love makes you loose control. It's scary.

Hi, I've only just joined the thread, :-) I've never had a boyfriend (I'm not counting 'encounters' of course). Until, sort of, now, when I have a, sort of, erm, long-distance relationship with this guy... yes, I sound hesitant because I don't know if long-distance relationship can work out, but he wants to be serious about it, so... I'll give him a chance, lol :D I like him loads, so...

As for the reason (why no bfs I mean), I think I accidentally give the impression I'm too independent, like 'I don't need you', can be a bit offputting. I don't want a serious relationship with just someone I might pick up, so that leaves guys who have already become friends of me...

At first I was inclined to believe who said that love makes you weak... but I wonder, is it just that it makes you see your weaknesses more? And that could be a good thing because then you can control how you deal with your weaknesses? Just a thought...

I wouldn't say that love was worthless. However I would say that love is an irrational emotion. To experience true love, in my opinion is to risk getting your heart broken alot. I guess the saying is true, "Love hurts"

hey wats up....i totally agree with you...when the right girl comes, then thats when you get into action...after all, its not the amount of relationships you are in, its the quality of them

That's just point of being in a whole bunch unsuccessful relationships. The next one you enter into you bring in emotional baggage from the last. Who wants to deal with that? :mad:

That's why I avoid it like the plauge.

Don't give up man. Unlike me where I'll probably end up living my entire life out in celibacy, you'll probably end up finding the right girl. You just have look for her. Sure it's a lot of work, but it'll pay off in the end. :-)

Yes, don't give up FF2112, and don't end up being anti-relationship like me. And you say those girls left you for some better guy? Oh, please. I bet they are realizing what they lost when they broke up with you. Besides, why break up with someone based on a rumor? That goes to show you that she probably wasn't worth your time, anyway.

@FF2112

No kidding. If a girl doesn't confide with you on a rumor and decides to dump you based on the rumor, she wasn't worth your time at all. Don't worry man you'll find the right person.:-)

@Ma Cherie

I'm not trying to pry here so you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but how did you end up anit-relationship? Mine was from, well a bad past if you want to put it at that.

Hmmmmm........is because you don't agree with of the post about people who choose to stay away from relationships as much as possible, or is it because you're in a relationship and you're very happy, :p Or is it, that you just don't want to post? I know I'm wrong about everything here, but I was just curious. 👍

@Doc

And loose the chance of lighten up a 17th pages long topic? :)

@Ma Cherie

Try to reply to this thread while your girlfriend is around and casually asks you "yes, how many girlfriends did you had?" 😊

What I can say is that there isn't a right or wrong number, though i do know the correct answer: a few. 😌
