I'm always sad to think of Kyo hurting himself.
I think I've written about that before somewhere.
Needless to say, the thought of him committing suicide is just too horrible to think about, and I can only hope.
It's true that for a long time he has habitually hurt himself. I did hope that it might prove for him a way of coping with the emotional pain, and by that way, prevent suicide. And I guess I also hoped that maybe eventually he could find other ways of coping, rather than hurting himself. So I'm very sad to think this problem might be getting worse, rather than better.
It appears that a number of people here have also self-harmed, so you know that knowing you have friends who care about you and don't want you to do it, doesn't make the slightest of difference.
So, it's really difficult to think of anything possible to do to try and help Kyo. It's next to impossible to help someone very close to you, let alone someone you don't actually know. But I think the idea of some kind of fan project is a good one, because in fact that is about all we can do. And just because it's not possible to do much, doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything.
I think it's a bit... not sure of the word... odd (?) that Kyo displays the carvings in pictures in the fan club magazine. Because that is more of showman than I would have expected. ☝ To do cuttings in a live, that's different, because then, emotions are running high. And also to cut in private, that's another matter too. But to cut a phrase 'in cold blood' so to speak (not during live performance), and then rather choose to display it afterwards rather than keep it hidden... that's some different kind of mentality, it seems to me. I don't know what you think?
In any case, I can only hope for the best.
It really hurts my heart to think of Kyo suffering.
