What is so great about Hyde and Gackt?

Yup! It's definately an overused commercial ploy. So commercialised, I don't see it as fanservice anymore and that's what annoys me.

i never really know gackt that well,just seen him in MOON CHILD but for me hyde is the greatest well,i like him mostly because of his music and his incredible voice..to tell the truth,everytime i hear his voice when i'm upset,i just feel really and all my problems seem to dissapear or something...that's how i feel about L'ARC-EN-CIEL too!!anyway,just stating my opinion..everyone got a different taste..they both talented artist in their own way..

Hyde looks amazing but I fell in love with his voice before anything else. Back when I first started listening to JRock, a lot of the vocals didn't appeal to me. But I took a liking to L'arc~en~ciel right away because hyde's voice was just that nice.

Not really. You just don't know as much American music. I hate generalizations based on country, especially when they invoke incredibly subjective standards.
Hyde & Gackt= good music, good voice, good publicity, good face, good luck.

To me, Hyde's okay. Not too good, not too bad. I don't listen to him much though.

Gackt? Um, welll...I love his piano skills. I don't quite like his singing too much, but it's alright. Sometimes he looks nice, sometimes he looks plastic. Or maybe I'm just looking at the wrong pictures.

I voted for Meanings and Emotions of Songs. It's all about the lyrics, that make me feel emotion.

It's actually really hard for me to say what I like BEST I like everything Gackt (Hyde too!) But it is true that it was their voice that really got me into both of them!!! (I like even have random sound clips of Gackt speaking in english He says " Hi This is Gackt ~undeciferable stuff~ ~something about a radio station~" and that's about it but I can lkisten to just that and not be board(sp?)...

hm to tell you the truth, I started listening to Gackt after I saw his picture... damn I couldn't believe that there are such good - looking guys and that's when I started listening to his music and then to other Japanese artists so I voted for unique looks... but know I appreciate his voice and talent more than looks but if not his looks, I wouldn't be listening to his songs and as for Hyde I think his songs are really um... just fun you feel very relieved listening to them but I think that Gackt's voice and looks are much better...

Well, Gackt is pretty! And when you don't have his music but have a picture of him... You can't know weather he'll be any good! But He is! He is! And I agree I love Gackt over Hyde! But they're both rather Espeacially in Mood Child! I really loved that movie it was so sad!

They're both absolutely gorgeous, but they've also got an extreme amount of talent. They both have awesome voices and their songs usually have a lot of meaning. Of course that's not to say that they are perfect, since sometimes Gackt doesn't make a lot of sense and Hyde's voice almost always breaks up when he sings English.

That's true and I have to say... whenever see I see Gackt dance XD I can't help but laugh a little... because except for in Papa lapped a pap lopped... it doesn't look like he can dance XD But I love him anyways~

And you know what I realized before Jrockers I was never really even interested in WHO bands were.

If I liked the music I bought the cds and that was it. I mean I love things like Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Panic at the Disco but I couldn't even tell you who the vocalists are!!!

I think there's something about Jrockers, that makes you actually interested in who they are. My theory on that is, that because to know what they're saying you actually have to look up their lyrics or be able to understand japanese... But maybe I'm just weird...

And to get back on topic, well I think that you can't like Hyde or Gackt on looks alone. I mean yes they're incredibly HOT but if that was all there was to them... I'd find that quite boring, don't you? I love staring at pretty jrocker as much as the next girl~ But I like to look at them because I know they're talented individuals!

I was drawn first to Gackt. To be honest with you, the thing that drew me to him was his personality. I found out about him when I watched this scene on Youtube with him catching a fly with his bear hand. It was so cool! Then, after listening to his music, I could feel the emotions that he puts in it. When I found out about Hyde, I was drawn in by his personality too. Does that make me weird?

btw about Hyde's height...I've heard some person who is a hyde fangirl said that
he was taller than she when she met him at one of his concerts.
and she is 1.61m. so I think that hyde is about 1.62~1.64m?

I prefer Hyde. cause he is a pure genius and I love his voice!!
