ITALY through in the FINAL

The german press called italians all kinds of stuff...criticized their "closed" and boring game and in the end their team had only 2 shots on goals and got beaten in ther legendary stadium. Arrogance doesn't pay off...italy was brilliant the whole time and unluky...in the end the best team went through...the difference in quality and experience was 2 great, ballack germany's main man didn't even have one shot on goal and lacked luster completely. Pirlo was amazing and so was the rest of the team with the exeption of Totti,,he was useless the whole game....well anyways hopefully portugal will go in the final tmrw and we can have a good mediterranean square off...... ITALIA BABAY>......

Look, I'm no soccer expert, and I don't profess to be one, but, how in hell can a team expect to score, never mind win when you only get two, count 'em...TWO shots on goal in 120 minutes? Are you kidding me? Call me crazy, but Germany came up REAL small in that game. You may now feel free to tell me I'm wrong. Like I said, I'm no expert.

I think the match was great, and Germany played really well, Italy was really desperate not to go to penalties kicks.. as we all know we always loose on those kicks... so tried everything to win before, thanks also to German's team tiredness of the previous match which was really challenging and long.

Deco and Costinha are back for this match against France, and I haven't been very impressed with France performance in this world cup.

What's to be surprised...they were favorites in their group...they had australia and Ukraine to get to the semifinal and were facing germany....their players are all much more xperienced than the players of any of these teams. They play in the toughest league in the world and more than half of the starters on their team all play in the Champions League.

I'm not surprised Italy have made it this far either. Before the world cup started they beat Germany 4-1 in a friendly and their squad has a good mix of up and coming younger players and older experienced players. Regardless of who wins between France and Portugal I think Italy will win the final.

Yeah, but the last time i saw them play was at the Europe championship (and against Germany ). And I wasn't blown away by their play.

Well Germany lost but I'm still real proud of our team they played really good throughout the tournament. =)
Although it is really sad that we lost to a bunch of guys wearing their wifes nickers....
Well anyway I really hope France wins they really deserve it they've really excelled towards the end of the world cup

I was in Paris - Latin Quartier - when France won against Spain. It was absolutely awesome. You people really know how to party!

Please!!! Before you start making jokes on other nations take a look back at your own
AND FYI the first nation that formed the world's real democracy was the USA...the french revolution turned into another dictatorship...and was after the American revolution.
Is pretty annoying having to read crap that doesn't relate to the football played in the field,,,,speakin of which, italy has the Best football league in the world, and it is not by chance that on SUNDAY 8 of the players in the field all play in the same team in ITALY, and so has henry and zidane, france's 2 top players. You do know ,that you could easily be sued by the spiegel for spreading wrong information and labeling it with they're signature:
Secondly beeing racist is possible even if you are not german as you have very impressively demonstrated. =)
And as for the democracy of the USA it wasn't the first real democracy ,because slaves were still excluded but everyone was included in the french democracy and even if it later turned into a dictatorship it still WAS the first real democracy.
I don't really know why you take it so seriously I don't recall trying to harm you in any sort and as for the germans always looking down on other nations or whatever jadda jadda I also have a english passport.
And another thing it probalby is a advantage ,that a major part of the italian team plays in the same team most of the time but then again the french players are 1.better at dribbling or generally they have a better technique and 2.they don't give up fighting ,because they really really want to win and think this is much more important than anything else.
And as for Rome beeing the cradle of european society I'm very sorry but that s wrong as well Rome was only able to develope into what it was ,because the greek city states had already achieved most of what todays seen as a roman achievement rome only did it on a much larger scale.
But why do take all this so serously it's football it's just a game you're supposed to have fun watching and playing it. =)

Secondly you are not making sense, the french players are better cuz they fight till the end....what did italy do against germany, they scored 2 goals after 119 minute of gameplay, if that is not fighting till th end i don't know what is.

Thirdly we can go offtopic about rome and greece, but greece was mainly a local culture, whilst rome spread all its civilazation thru europe, and that's what i mean with cradle of european civilization.
I have nothing against germans but your comments that are lowering Italy are further indicament of your superiority syndrome.

All week before the game german newspapers were comparing italy and germany and whatever...lowering italians down, and that's what annoys me, as you have done in this thread from the begining with biblical statements such as saying we will win here and there, we are the best, bla bla bla,,,,, don't you know all the great german players got great because they played in italy? for example Voller and Klinsi himself. So when germans criticize Italian society and so forth because of a game of course I'm going to be annoyed.


I can understand you disgruntled german supporters cheering for france to win, I completely understand, but trying to elevate the french team beyond its capacities and lowering the Italians is proof or your un objective view of the situation. This is what's annoying me

It's just a joke but as you mentioned the Spiegel bringing out articles of Germany beeing superior to Germany is just not true it's something you either made up or you were told by god knwos who.
And personally I must say I completely make sense Italy beeing better technically gave them the edge over Germany but as france is at least equal to italy if not better considering their technique they will win =)
But if it annyos you so much why don't you just ignore the german press and idiots like me ,who always think they're better than the rest of the world
