Japan ranked the lowest among developed countries regarding gender equality under the law, the World Bank said in a report released on 2 March. The annual survey, covering 190 countries and territories, assesses gender gaps in laws and regulations across eight areas, including the workplace, pay, parenthood and entrepreneurship. Japan ranked 104th overall of the 190 economies listed. The country lags behind in the categories of pay and the workplace. The lack of legislation to punish sexual harassment in the workplace is also one of the reasons for the country's low ranking.

In the report, released Thursday, Japan scored an average of 78.8 out of 100, sharing the same score with other countries including the Philippines. Japan did poorly in the categories of workplace and pay, scoring 50 and 20 out of 100 respectively, though it did get full marks for pensions and mobility. Among other G7 members, Canada, Germany and France each scored 100 on the index, which means that women are on an equal legal standing with men in all of the areas measured. Italy and Britain followed with a score of 97.5, and the United States with 91.3. Japan's ranking has continuously fallen, ranking 74th in the 2020 report, 80th in the 2021 report and 103rd in 2022.

Overall, Japan scored 78.8 out of 100, calculated based on an assessment of the eight categories. The average score for the OECD high-income countries was 95.3. Japan was the only developed nation with a score below 80. Canada and 13 European countries, including Spain, scored 100, indicating that men and women enjoy equal legal rights there. The global average score was 77.1, with the growth rate from the previous year falling to a 20-year low. At the current pace, in many countries a woman entering the workforce today will have retired before she gained the same legal rights as men, the World Bank notes.

Welll I give Japan a score of 120, making it, IDK, number 5......because men hand over their bank books to their wives.

And there, I have backed up my rank with about as much solid and specific evidence as the article has. What a puff piece. And no, I don't buy into the rankings anyway.

Seems to me, from the article, that they are leaning hard on the claim that Japan has no sexual harassment laws. Not real sure about that, but I am real sure that companies have sexual harassment polices, and even if they didn't, you can't just walk about the office pinching butts, raving about a co-worker's breasts and demanding sexual favors. That will get straightened out most of the time I am sure, including someone being shown the door....and that person more often being the actual source of the problem.....rather than a simple check for plumbing type M or plumbing type F, where type M is always assumed to be an ingrate.

Most of what have heard from the west's wonderful sexual harassment laws seems to be just rounds of (figuratively) burning men at the stake because the women got together and agreed he was creepy.

The entire state of affairs in the west seems to me to be so crazy, backward, subjective and unfair as to have inspired a whole lot of comedy about it, and this is the tip of the iceberg.

The article clearly states one of the main criteria was equality of pay, and that women in Japan suffered a great inequity in salary.
Regarding sexual harassment, Japan has no "at will" employment, so firing an employee is a much more tedious process than it is in, say, the US, and immediate dismissal is almost never heard of in Japan. This creates a certain high tolerance for sexual harassment.
And if you know any women in Japan, you know the pervasive level of harassment they face on public transport.

The article?
Which article? There are two and I can't read one.
Any figures in yen offered? Cause when I say solid and specific evidence, that is what I talking about. Cause otherwise, anybody can claim anything.

But regardless, the pay gap is a unicorn. I already know that going in. Most people who claim pay gaps seem to suscribe to the idea that women are just men with vaginas who were raised differently. Obviously no. Women make different choices than men because women have different needs and desires. Of course men and women are entitled to equal opportunity, but the people who thought that would mean equal outcomes just cannot see past their own noses. Men sacrifice their health and relationships for work. Women generally do not. Men choose high stress competetive occupations that pay more. Women choose lower stress, cooperative ones that pay less.

Also, and again, its easy to make a claim that one state of affairs leads to something like increased sexual harassment, but where is the objective proof? Besides which, I can't even say I have seen hard proof that its so hard to get rid of an employee in Japan. My view is that its pretty easy simply because the employees don't fight, even if they could.

As for harassment on public transport, is that even related to this score???? What kinds of harassment are you talking about? Cause AFAIK groping at least is a crime. Is it scouting for adult video work or something? Cause I live in the sticks and when I go to Tokyo I do see that...but....that's like....all I see. And I have known loads of women over the years and many places....and they told me stories....but I learned over time to stop assuming they were "complaining" rather than just telling a story of some stuff that happened and "whatever". Some were complaining, but loads of women over the world have similar complaints. Its not gone away cause of some laws and talking heads on the TV.

This is relevant in a general way.....its said right away....your sympathy is being used against you. And I view men as being FAR more sympathetic in general, than they are given credit for. And this is simply because the extreme minority of people in control just happen to be unsympathetic men, and they get all the press. The rest of us men should NEVER be lumped in with those jerks. And part of the reason is, we are so sympathetic that we accept the false blame, even with our silence. Men are acceping the idea they aren't sympathetic even when that is not true for that individual man.

But of course more to the point is the BS narratives far too many men accept on behalf of women (without asking or knowing what most women really think). And one of those, I think is accepting this narrative in the article and yet another "weird Japan" story that they aren't keeping up with female empowerment like "we smart western nations are".

Meanwhile, again its right off the bat, most of us in the English speaking world won't even try to define what a woman is and its out of terror. Who is gaining anything through over-simpathetic cowardice? I don't even think women are through the men engaging in it!

What is a woman? Dare you even answer?

If not, how are you going to properly evaluate all these claims of gender inequality?

If you cannot read the article, it makes no sense to continue the conversation. If you can't read the article, but then decide what it says anyway, all the while demanding an absurd level of proof from me while exploding in a "gish gallop" of ludicrous proportions, you are arguing in horribly bad faith - something I have seen from you in another thread on this forum.

"What is a woman, anyway?" is the chef's kiss of bad faith crackpotism.

Matt Walsh is a self-described theocratic fascist. His "documentary" shows him going around asking people "what is a woman" and then cutting up their responses to make it look like they don't have an answer, so it can be clipped for other fascists to crow about how stupid "lefties" and "pointy-headed intellectuals" really are. Like an intentionally cruel Michael Moore, just hunting for cheap shots.

He literally fade-cut right through a gender studies professor's response; he straight up yadda-yaddaed the answer he was seeking so he could repeat his asinine and reductive question, and pretend it wasn't asked and answered. Why isn't the whole interview available? Probably because a nuanced answer doesn't play well when your goal is to churn out hate propaganda.

Every clip I found of the discussion with Dr. Grzanka starts at the point after he's already ignored the answer to his question about the difference between sex and gender, when the professor becomes visibly agitated by Walsh's obtuseness. That's because that's the whole point of the movie: to give people who think they already know the answer an opportunity to laugh at the libs. The only place I could find a whole clip of the interview was in reaction videos from leftists; funny, that!

Content Warning: strong language. You can jump to 1:31 to get to the part of the interview (the VERY FIRST question asked) that gets cut out:

At 4:08 Hasan lays it out:
This is a perfect representation by the way, a perfect representation of conservative argumentation: he's not there in good faith, he doesn't need to learn anything, he doesn't want to learn anything, as a matter of fact he is also cutting your arguments up in an effort to make sure that no one accidentally learns anything, okay? He literally is like cutting it down to be like "yeah look at how f****** blah blah blah, boring, boring, gaaaaay, okay bro please tell me what is a woman I've never I've never been around one, I've never been around one, I've chained my wife in the basement WHAT IS A WOMAN!?"

He literally just cut it down to make it seem like it was just so convoluted and boring, and now is just going to go back and be like "I was not listening to anything, what's up?"

@Master of Time If this is the kind of material you reference for your opinions about women and feminism then I'd agree that there's not much point in engaging you further on the litany of ridiculous statements you've made.

Although this thread is about Japan's ranking in gender equality, it must be said that the true subject of Walsh's work is anti-trans hate. It's a little long, but for an unedited interview of a trans person covering a range of subjects about their lived experience, I found this discussion to be very enlightening:

As a quick follow-up to the subject of trans hate and genocide that is being so aggressively pursued by right-wing punditry, the excellent YouTube channel Philosophy Tube recently released a very poignant video on the subject, delving into some of the underlying reasons for the extreme discomfort people have over this issue.

If you cannot read the article
The article?
Which article? There are two and I can't read one.

The headlines are similar. Is the information in them significantly different?
you are arguing in horribly bad faith - something I have seen from you in another thread on this forum.

I see you have an opinion which you are stating as fact.

At the same time you are making a rude accusation....and being rather unclear about it. It smells like you just want to take a pot shot in a short post and then runaway.

I have typed a lot of long, long posts and added a lot of detail. I have also encountered a lot of unwarranted hostility as if words were a threat to the very fabric of the universe.

But I will explain something you perhaps have not copped onto.....I find myself quite often the lone supporter of a position amid a group of people collectively hitting me with points and questions from the other side of the debate. And not a single one of them is paying me a salary to do so. The responses were free of charge.

Another thing I will inform you of is that I believe I am actually trying to help you, as I would try and help anyone who was getting suckered into a false narrative. There is no reason at all for you to accept my help. But to accuse me of bad faith for trying to help you see what I think is the light? That feces right there is just plain uncalled for. I don't know what is eating you exactly but let me spell one thing out for you perfectly clear: Don't confuse my offers of help for respect. I have stopped my car to try see if I could do something to help a dying Tanuki someone else hit. I would not lie to you, as its only those I respect whose opinions matter to me enough to be tempted to lie. Capice?

If you can't read the article, but then decide what it says anyway
That is not what I did. I read one of them.

Instead of suggesting I just give up, you could post excerpts or alternate links...you know...be helpful instead of hostile.

None of us have a monopoly on the truth.

"What is a woman, anyway?" is the chef's kiss of bad faith crackpotism.

That just sounds like an alternate way of saying "I refuse to admit I can't answer the question, or even explain why."

And uh, suddenly "bad faith" smells a lot like projection.

So we can put an end to pedantic bickering, here are the two articles in question:

Japan drops to 104th in latest World Bank gender equality survey

WASHINGTON – Japan ranked a dismal 104th in the World Bank's latest report on women's economic opportunities, continuing to trail the rest of the Group of Seven countries on issues of gender equality.

The annual survey, covering 190 countries and territories, assesses gender gaps in laws and regulations across eight areas, including the workplace, pay, parenthood and entrepreneurship.

Globally, the World Bank said the average score in the latest report was 77.1, an improvement of only half a point from the previous year's survey. It said that throughout the year, there had been only 34 gender-related legal reforms across just 18 of the countries surveyed, the lowest number since 2001.

"At the current pace of reform, it would take at least 50 years to approach legal gender equality everywhere," the international organization warned. "In many countries, a woman entering the workforce today will retire before she will be able to gain the same rights as men."

It added that worldwide, nearly 2.4 billion women of working age do not have the same rights as men. It called on countries to fix gender disparities, pointing out that women compose half of the world's population and that countries cannot afford to disregard them.

Japan ranks last among developed states regarding gender equality

WASHINGTON--Japan ranked the lowest among developed countries regrading gender equality under the law, the World Bank said in a report released on March 2.

The country ranked 104th overall of the 190 economies listed.

Japan lags behind in the categories of pay and the workplace. The lack of legislation to punish sexual harassment in the workplace is also one of the reasons for the country's low ranking.

The annual report measures laws and regulations in eight areas related to women's economic participation, including the workplace, marriage and assets. The latest 2022 report uses data through October of that year.

It evaluates across eight categories what legal rights women enjoy in 190 countries and regions, with the rights held by men marked with a score of 100.

Japan earned full marks in four categories: mobility, parenthood, assets and pension.

However, marriage stood at a score of 80, entrepreneurship at 75, workplace at 50 and pay at 25.

Of 34 high-income countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Japan was the only one that has no legislation on sexual harassment in the workplace.

Most of the countries have criminal penalties or civil remedies for sexual harassment, the World Bank said.

Overall, Japan scored 78.8 out of 100, calculated based on an assessment of the eight categories.

I cannot really say I learned anything important or new from the second article, but I do have a question/problem.

It says "Japan was the only one that has no legislation on sexual harassment in the workplace." twice.

Is that very specific "in the workplace" really a key issue here? It sounds to me something like "murder is illegal in Japan, but people are not properly protected because there is no legislation barring murder in the workplace."

Correct me if I am wrong, the article also does have a paraphrase: "Most of the countries have criminal penalties or civil remedies for sexual harassment, the World Bank said."...nothing about the workplace.

But this article says that ciivil courts, usually the lower ones, handle cases of sexual harassment and cites a workplace case from 2015.

"In February 2015, the Supreme Court of Japan, for the first time ever, handed down a decision relating to sexual harassment in the workplace. Prior to that, court decisions on sexual harassment had all come from lower courts. "

I am definitely not a fan of over-legislation, over-litigation, and over-penalization. There is a reason why Napoleon erased all the laws and started over from scratch. Even in his time there was a Gordium knot of laws, precedents and interpretations verging on making it illegal to breathe. (<--- hyperbole)

Is there a problem with one of the articles, or is it that people believe it is supremely important to have specific pre-planned penalties created by the Diet?

📉 Update:

Japan fell to a record low 125th in global gender equality rankings this year, as the country failed to heighten female representation in politics and economic activities. Japan's ranking among 146 countries in the World Economic Forum's Gender Gap Report 2023, released on 21 June, represents a drop of nine notches from last year.

I really don't get pre-occupation with this issue.

I have had many converstations with maybe hunderds of women in Japan as an English Teacher and none seemed to care about any of these gender gaps. In private only a few cared...but...special note....they were dating a gaijin and that puts them in a rather specific group.

Growing up in America I had been told so much pro-female dogma since I was a kid and very little of it turned out to be true. A lot of it amounted to feel good guesswork and off the cuff propaganizing and some has been overturned with a close look at statistics. The biggest lesson I have learned seems to be that a great many women will say anything to appear as a victim and a great many men will repeat it in the hopes of getting laid. (and yes, showing at least a little compassion for women's issues will help...no surprise).

Meanwhile the overwhelming majority of bosses I have had in Japan have been women, in English Conversation schools, and I have worked at serveral. I don't remember any complaining they had a hard time of it, not being male, or that there was some special barrier they had to cross. I have also worked in public schools through maybe three contractors and one was run by a woman. I can remember only one school that had a female principal, and one vice principal of the dozens I have visited. But I got to tell you, I never heard of anyone who pined for the job of principal. It seemed more like one of those jobs no one wants (correct me if I am wrong), so a man HAS to do that job, because women are shielded, rather than rejected.

But, you know, if you want to paint women as victims, its really easy to present those shielded from an unwanted job as "rejected" instead. This is how narratives are crafted.

It certainly was poignant. The host is brilliant and its pretty much impossible not to sympathize to a degree.

I had to watch that in pieces...in fact, I don't think I actually finished it but I did watch most. I meant to finish and come back but....honestly its just not important enough of an issue for me. Despite my sympathy I just really REALLY want the world to focus on the issues that are going to kill and poison ALL OF US right now. Transgender issues are pretty far down my list.

But I will say, I do believe that transgenderism exists. I believe it exists in children at least some of the time.

What I don't believe is that its currently possible to properly and accurately diagnose a transgender child or even teen, though it may be easier with a teen. And until that changes its very hard for me to be even moderately supportive.

I can say though that the run around the host and others experienced in the British medical system is utterly criminal...and that is not hyberbole. Some of those people should literally be in jail for not doing their public duty in their public duty jobs but taking the money anyway.

The Japanese government has pledged to push for women's participation after this week's gender gap report. The original article read Japan would "aggressively push" for more female participation.

Japan plans to push for women's participation in society, especially in politics, top government spokesperson Hirokazu Matsuno said on Wednesday. [...] "We need to humbly accept our country's current situation," Matsuno, the chief cabinet secretary, told reporters during a briefing. [...] Japan's gender parity in political empowerment was one of the world's lowest, at 138th, behind China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

They could not have omitted more specific details in that article if they tried.

And the quote you provided certainly does not reflect a sentiment to do anything. He said they would humbly accept the situation (or so the translation says, NOT fix it.

I simply do not believe there are significant numbers of women who want these positions in Japan. That means scrapping the bottom of the barrel to shove incompetent women into said positions, cause those who don't want them yet are competent will likely assert themselves enough to find a way out.

I don't know if I should complain though. Even in the west the "woke" failures are exposing a whole lot of dumb for what it is. But will all this dumb right itself in time before everything is ruined? Well, honestly, deep down, I kind of want everything to be ruined, so maybe I should cheer? Maybe, that is the very reason some people ARE cheering?

After all, wasn't that a big reason why Trump won the U.S. presidency? Because so many people wanted to see an implosion? I got to say, my list of complaints about the world is extremely long, and I don't see any of them being addressed really, and certainly not even by the "woke" takeover...which only took over middle management really. Hell, I can't even voice half my grievences on social media fully.....and I am not the only one....and I suspect that has as much to do with, for example, Reddit imploding as much as the API changes being officially protested there.

So yeah...shove a bunch of women who can't handle certain jobs into those jobs anyway. Lets see how it goes. I will just sit here putting marshmallows on sticks.

yes, long form video essays are a marathon endeavor, but Philosophy Tube (with their background in theater) has always found a way to make their content engaging, not to mention well thought-out.

This is blatantly misogynist. Embarrassingly so.

You've talked a lot about what you believe, with no qualifying rationale, but this isn't a matter of faith; the subjects you're talking are actual fields of study with bodies of work from professionals who have dedicated their careers to these questions, and I trust their expertise (and the experiences of individuals directly affected by this area of study) over the opinions of laymen.

If your understanding of gender is based on the assumption of a binary, here's a handy chart to illustrate the lack of nuance in that world view.

Yep. It is super misogynist to suggest that most women are so intelligent they don't want positions that come with more responsibility and stress than power, and also have the strength of will to refuse to be pushed into things they don't want. Even worse was suggesting that many are competent but some aren't.

Yes, I must really hate women. What I was supposed to say was that ALL women are competent, down to the last. And I was also supposed to say that oodles of women want these stressful positions because they are equally greedy as men and want the bigger paycheck.

Ludicrous. In fact, what I said was speaking about my hate of third and fourth wave feminists, NOT women. But it may be hard for those who adore women to separate the majority of women from third and fourth wave feminists.

As a man raised almost exclusively by women, even I don't envy Japanese men their leadership positions and bigger paychecks because I can't see the benefits outweighing the stress and trouble. Somehow I think this "misogynist" thinks a whole lot like your average woman. Go figure.

As a general policy that's great. It especially works well with hard science, though not always. But the whole thing starts to unravel when its soft science or politics, and in this case, its both.

So you are welcome to place all your faith in "experts". My faith in my own observations remains strong but I do listen to people like Jordan Peterson and Christina Hoff Sommers regarding these matters. For you I suggest reading about the clockmaker John Harrison and the upstart in physics Albert Einstein (vs. Newton) and how the "experts" rejected their findings for years, even decades.

I see you have once again brought this back to transgenderism and I have to wonder why. In no way am I speaking of a person's body, save maybe hormonal effects. I am talking about a person's mentality. There may be a spectrum of male and female, so much so that there is overlap, but this simple dichotomy is commonly accepted and has practical value.....which is a why a trans woman claims to be female in mind even if male in body.

As for my qualifying rationale its evolutionary psychology. Generally speaking it seems prettly clear that millions of years of animal evolution and at least tens of thousands of years of human evolution has led to a general dichotomy where men desire positions of power and wealth so they can be a better position to make babies while women have gravitated toward men in such positions so as to better ensure her children survive. That's my foundation. There are some twists and turns between that and the resulting societies we see today (vs. those of thousands of years ago for example), but I have traveled the route enough it seems pretty clear to me.

And yes I know that third and fourth wave feminists reject evolutionary psychology utterly but that is because they don't give a toss for the truth. Its all politics and social advantage for them and that's why their dogma is a confusing mess of contradiction....such as the claim that saying women are smart enough to avoid the negative returns of leadership positions in Japan must actually mean the speaker hates women.

Yeah, I can't tell you how much I hate women being smart enough to not want what is bad for them and being willful enough to ensure they don't ruin their lives by taking what is bad for them. Oh how I hate them for running their own lives and making their own decisions and choosing NOT to be the leaders! Why won't they stand up and lead me already!

Frankly, you are a terrible communicator if you think your words don't evince a disdain for women. I'm sure things you type must make sense to you in the moment, but maybe take a minute to proofread your posts from the perspective of someone who can't read your mind and ask yourself if you're expressing your thoughts clearly. Even your clarification reads as condescending pap. You're projecting your own lack of ambition and fear of stress and responsibility onto a generalized group of individuals, and making the assertion that a policy that encourages or even demands greater representation of that group in positions of power will result in the installation of "incompetent women."You're literally imagining a woman who would take such a position and your first assumption is their incompetence. And you don't think that's insulting?

Representation is important. A power structure dominated by any one group is not going to represent the best interests of all parties involved, and it's obvious that those in power will work to keep the status quo, so sometimes equity requires some effort. There are competent men and women, and incompetent men and women. If you have any ideas for ensuring greater representation whilst safeguarding against your imaginary scenario, let's hear it. Otherwise...

I'm not putting "faith" in anything, I'm saying I give more weight to someone who has spent considerable time studying, doing actual research and scientific inquiry, or has actual lived experience under a given topic than some frog with an uninformed opinion framed by their own well-shaped view of the world. If I'm putting faith in anything, it's that the scientific method provides a better understanding of how things work than your feelings on a particular subject. Science doesn't dictate the world, it helps describe and sometimes explain it.

Brother, you're the one who posted Matt "What is a Woman?" Walsh content, and you're the one who crawled back out of whatever now-defunct subreddit you ducked into months ago to poke once again at this thread, quote me, and proclaim that you "believe transgenderism exists," whatever that means. I was simply responding to you. Man I just can't shut up about this, can I? Must be because it's pride month I guess!

That's not even evolutionary psychology; you're describing social and cultural norms that have developed in male-dominated cultures such as your own, the dynamics of your own upbringing notwithstanding. It doesn't work that way in every culture, but since it's YOUR world view you're happy to ignore the spectrum of human experience, once again.

Sexual dimorphism is a generalization within evolutionary biology that gets smoothed over into a binary because it's easy for the common boob to grasp, but the chart I posted earlier shows the wide spectrum of genetic expression (psychological traits aren't even mentioned, just the spectrum of intersex genetic expression, as measured by actual experts). In other words,
this simple dichotomy is commonly accepted and has practical value
TO YOU, ding-dong.

Man, I can't imagine why all the hundreds of women you've talked to in Japan weren't interested in discussing issues of gender equality with you... except for those who did but don't count.

Frankly, you are a terrible communicator if you think your words don't evince a disdain for women.

I have a disdain for humankind in general. And though I stopped being a feminist my disdain for men in general is still greater. After all, its mostly the men doing the curb stomping of innocent, helpless people, making the climate destroying factory smokestacks, making the the missiles of all sizes, and shooting them into civilian areas, among so many other acts of needless violence leading to death, and always with some dimwitted excuse only a man could dream up.

But women are guilty of plenty of things. So am I, though I try to do as little damage as possible and mind my own business.

But anyway, you have obviously become very emotional about all this and that means that you will believe precisely what you want despite all the evidence in the world. So what is the point of offering more?

All I can tell you is, there is a chance, that when you calm down, many, many years from now you might think on all this very differently, just as I did.

😂 ok then Mr. "I don't hate women, I hate everyone," as if I've never heard that lame backpedal before. Tell me more about how I'm overly emotional as a way to avoid addressing anything I've actually said, or my challenge to come up with a better way to encourage greater representation in higher echelons of power. That pathetic tactic may work on Fresh and Fit, but not here bucko. If anything, I'm merely exasperated by your obtuseness.

I'm just calling you out on your BS. If you don't like it you can go back to your hunky photos of John Oliver on Reddit.

I have seen you post much better than this. So I do wonder what is actually going on with you.

I cannot engage with your retorts because your retorts are unengageable by design. You know you are doing this and you know its you that does not want to engage or discuss. Your mind is made up and its hopelessly closed.

A simple example is your claim that my hate of humanity in general is just a "lame backpedal". I am sure I have said this before on this board somewhere. I certainly have for many many years. But despite me laying at the feet of men responsibiity for war and other violence and the excuses for it all in such a descriptive fashion, you insist its not genuine in some of the daftest contrarian modes possible.

If you want a test, okay, I will give one. Lets flip what I said around. Instead of me hating war, police violence, and summary executions by drone mostly ordered and carried out by men, the truth somehow is that I don't think men are responsible, or, that I think they are but in fact, I love and agree with men for this. And the lame excuses I cite I actually think are genius explanations of the need for deadly violence.

So there is a solid rebuttal against the silliness you are spewing and look how many words it took just to refute that one small silly point. Why the hell would I keep this up? You are not even trying to think about this and you know it perfectly well. The least you could do is man up and admit you have zero intention of even having a discussion rather than keep up this farce that you really do, but its my fault you are in full attack mode....as if the world has formed badly all because of some things I posted on the internet.

P.S. Was it you that deleted my thread on Government censorship and all traces of it? Geez. How fitting.

I didn't touch your thread, but it certainly is fitting of you to assume that. Crow on, little man.

you're trying to deflect from your blatantly misogynist remarks by claiming that your disdain extends beyond the group you singled out earlier. And conjuring word soup to try and obfuscate your actual beliefs. I directly asked you if you think a push for greater representation could be done in a way that you'd find satisfactory, and you accuse me of purposefully being "unengageable." I don't know how much more direct I could be here.

This is like a masterclass of mala fides rhetoric; a sprinkle of "let's imagine," misquoting me to build a strawman argument, a healthy dollop of whataboutism, hasty generalizations, false analogies, and more projection than a movie theater.

You're obviously just trolling cause you're running out of sandboxes to piss in, so I'm not going to bother mincing words or spending too much time or energy appeasing you.

Suspect. I did not assume. That is why I asked. The " fitting" part referred to the censorship only....that the censorship vid was censored.

You're obviously just trolling

I do not troll.

I think is what is happening is that you are not understanding some things and not accepting others. If there is any relation to me, maybe its my word choice.....and of course....my flagrant disregard for people's more petty emotions....which is a constant for me. Its hard enough to get the logic straight just dealing with the logic....to try and navigate the minefield of people's oversensitivity? I will pass.

I won't address any more of that post just so you know.
