Why Japan does not need to apologize to Korea


Dude, all I was saying is that I just wish other countries would stop whining about the past. I know exactly what the history books say I am a teacher, and I am not 100% sure I agree with everything that is in them or not in them here. The last comment I want to make is maybe what you said about foreign aid is the whole problem here. We get involved with nearly every problem that there is and we worry so much about others and not enough about those living inside our country. This was the point I was trying to make sorry if I didn't come across straight there.

Did the US apologize to Vietnam, Nicaragua, Grenada, Panama, or El Salvador yet?

The US definitely needs to apologize to the peoples of these places for having wrecked their countries more or less, for greed purposes with a P.R. lie of "helping them".

Bill Clinton, finally, apologized for the US gov't overthrowing the queen of Hawai'i like a 100+ years late. But still needed to be done.
 
Actually, there are alot of truths to what he is saying in part 1. Although, it is totally bullshit that Japan "needed" to annex Korea, it is true that Koean society was in a suffocating state before Japanese annexation. I agree that one of the few benefits the annexation was the downfall of the LAZY and dictatorial Yangban/militia.
 

Some Japanese were killed in Iraq, but the voice like the above is not so strong except some lefty guys in Japan.

How big is the voice in Korea? And who are they?

My Korean friend graduated from Ewha Womans University is a super anti DPRK guy. I know the anti-US is everywhere, but I don't know the Korean one. I agree that the North Korean cheerleaders are cute, though.
 
when korea looked for modernization, they looked to china and russia. Then came japan, saying they will help korea modernize, took away all the possession of people, made them work for war, and took away all the resources.

Now they say everything was out of their good pure heart. If that was so, why didnt they leave when millions of koreans took out to the streets asking the japaense to leave? or why did they see the need to kill ten thousands of chinese in nanjin?

Lot of the people are just sick of japanese justification of the war.



As for the anti-american people in korea, they are the same ones that have been anti-american since the start of 2000. Mostly freshman college students without thinking. Anti-americanism and ultra-patriotism sounds "cool" if you know what i mean. I personally disagree with them, and so do majority of the people. Korea should form strong allies with the U.S., China and Japan and extend the good relationship into south east asia.

All my recent posts may make it seem as if I am anti-japanese. I am not. I am very pro-Japan, and I love its country and culture. its just that recent run of events, and certain posters just outright denying the wrongdoing of japan, that makes me feel compelled to let out the truth.

If you like the disinfo books, you might want to try "A People's History of the United States" by radical (meaning from the roots) historian Howard Zinn


There are lots in there that will make us realize the US has a lot to apologize for too.
 
okay, my last post was totally idiotic and pointless, here is what i want to say

Korea was the one that was devastated yes?
France was devastated in WWII yes?
Now i believe, that is good enough of a comparison. at any point in time, if some place is invaded, and unless it was neccessary (US soldiers storming Normandy to stop Nazi Germany), an apology is owed. frankly, there is no way to prove that it was a neccesity to invade korea

We don't need to say sorry to each other because we weren't the ones living that time period. We need to learn from it and move on. Most actions were done by stupid politicians; that have nothing to do with the country.

Just quit this pointless bickering.

No need to make more apology, but Korea need to explain the truth of history and appreciate Japan.

If annexation was the issue, then
1. UK must apologize to India, Middle East, Africa, etc.
2. France ..... ditto ... to Indochina and Africa.
3. Holland ..... ditto ... to Indonesia.
4. Spain ...... ditto .... to South American

If comfort women was the issue,
Holland & Spain must apologize to black people for their slavery trade.

If hitory was issue, then
1. All white americans must return to Europe.
2. All white Australian must return to Europe.
3. All white Canadian must return to Europe.
 
Human trafficking must have been very common in Korean penisular and China.
We have still heard that human trafficking is often reported in those countries.

As far as I know, young women were often traded in Japan until early 20th century.
 
Until japan makes an official written apology just like what germans did, there NEVER be a friendship between china/korea/japan.

I can pretty much tell there will be nuclear warheads pointing towards everywhere, especially in east asia.

I can't wait for that to happen.

However, if I may add something, the comfort woman story is not just a story, We had enough long and short films, interviews (some of those women are still alive!!) and material here, that showed clearly, it was forced by the Japanese. Also when I was in Korea, I got similar informations.
The films for example were made after those interviews, who equaled each other.
On request I can ask the korean society here. We have all seen it, during the Berlinale Filmfestival even. It is a known fact. Caster's explanations are clearly manipulted infos from Japan.
And the rest probably also.
It was a hot topic here around 2000 etc., and then there finally was a kind of excuse coming from Japan. Would they do it, if nothing was?
As only one example.
To say its not, is like denying the holocaust. . .

Just to make something clear, not to stir the pot again.

For me its over anyhow, but saying, nothing was, sorry, thats going way too far. It was.
