Pretty much what the title says, why is it that you continue to comeback here and post? (this is directed at everyone).

my answer would be its very informative to me and helpful for me to find out about japan, plus i love the community spirit here.

Neighbourhood watch here!!!

I think I stay on JREF because overall the members are very level headed.
The key players here are always on the look out for abuse or dodgy members, so it's quite a secure vibe.
Also, as much as I like Japan, it is nice that many people on JREF are interested in so many different things, which keeps things fresh.

I dont know why I continue to log on... but as long as im still bored, I will continue to do so

It is the people here that keep me logging on. Everyone (most people!) are friendly and intelligent, more so than the people I meet in real life! You guys are great! 🙂

nice and blunt, gotten love someone who is just honest to the bone,
its a fun place, always able to pep you up when coming on here.

people are easy here...no maniacs or a$$holes.
I see it as more of a community rather than a forum...i got buddies here!
I don't think i've talked about anything 'japanese' in ages.

Two reasons.

1. A forum where a very civil discussion about Christianity can take place, is indeed a forum that holds a lot of objective, levelheaded people.

2. And that I live in Japan, it is here that I can also get relevant subjects to discuss with students.

Same here Smoke! My Japanese learning is seriously suffering since I joined here. And it's true about the people. I was looking at a philosophy forum the other day, and I couldn't believe how mean people were, and it was just accepted. Here people are much nicer.

Because its one of the forums i frequent usuually out of lack of anythnig else to do.

That and im interested in japan.

Win-win.

To be totally honest, there are so many people here in love with words, and so am I.
I got sucked in after finding the "lorry" question on google with 39 replies. And of course I enjoy the conversations, friendly nudges, and the heated, lethal debates ! :-) 👍

It gives me something to do. Actually I like the discussions and level headed people that are on this site and it has helped me in learning more about Japan.

I Would Have To Say........

the great friends I've made and the good conversations(chat/PM's/E-Mails)!

Uncle Frank

:-) 👍 😌

thats just pure gold,
see this is why, you ask a question, and the answers you get are amazing, you won't find this stuff anywhere else.

All part of life's rich tapestry, young man. All part of life's rich tapestry!

If you have friend at a place, you'll care that place more. And I think forum is the best place to know a person, you can read others thoughts and views and personalities from their posts.

Well, because there's lots of cool people here, too many to mention, and I always learn something new and interesting from all those folks who post here. Bottom line, coming to JREF is FUN!!!
👍 :p :-) 🙂

so would anyone agree in me saying that if certain people were not here then you would not log on so often?

I think I would notice the difference eventually; and lose interest.
When members with positive traits (very subjective, yes I know) become fewer than members who lack those positive traits, I'd kiss the forum good bye. Wouldn't you ? I hate to talk to a hand, or one with an attitude. 😊

right on the dot, those with a attitude and nothing worth hearing are not worth the time of day.
