Which Sunday is こんど の日曜日

As you can tell, I'm a newbie to Japanese language. はじめまして どうぞよろしく.

I have a newbie question, in Japanese, does こんど の日曜日 mean the closest Sunday that's coming, regardless which day of the week is today, or it "depends" ?

It means the closest Sunday coming, so yeah. "this Sunday" or if it is Sunday, "next Sunday." etc.
