I've just joined the jref forum so wanted to say hello. I'm originally from the UK but I've been living in Tokyo for 8 years now. I came the usual route through an eikaiwa with plans to stay for one year... yeah ok, who didn't right?!

I hope I can join in the forums and be an active member in the community. Looking forward to meeting you all.

British born and bred, but I'm quarter filipino and quarter chinese along with the half english!

Spent all my life in the UK, although I moved from England to Wales at 10, just about to turn 20 next month.

I think my mixed culture is partly what gives me the urge to explore other countries and soak in other culture. Particularly asia. Although I hope to explore Europe (already been to Paris, Rome, Rhodes, Magaluf and Nerja (south of Spain) but many more places to go!), Australia and the US as well

Yeah you've got places for the metropolitan types (London) and the quiet, laid-back types (Centreparcs do really good quiet, countryside breaks).

Wales is a very laid-back place in particular, it's lots of fields haha, and it's not uncommon to have cows and sheep crossing the road in some parts!

The vists I've made to other countries have all been 1 week stays mind, so while I've been able to experience lots of different places, the time I spent there was by no means long enough to truely soak in the culture! Perhaps after university I can return to those places for longer stays! I hope so anyways, world travel is kinda one of my life passions! ^^
